When your country ignores infrastructure for 40+ years, this is the result.

Parts of America now resemble Sochi.

wow, so that's the face of left over corruption from communism.

I'm sure if you took pics of Atlanta's Ghettos it'd pretty much be the same.

I sure wouldn't want to be at the Olympics with all the bomb threats.

You can all sleep well at night, The HCP got out of his contract to work in Sochi. Hearing some shady things about over there and didn't want to have anything to do with it. Extra money ain't worth it!

russian women are hot as fuck, son. and love americans.

Who.

Fucking.

Cares.

I do. My wife and I were competitive skiers through college, and our daughters have started racing camps. Winter sports aren't for everyone. What I don't stand is the person who pops his head into a thread to say "who cares??" when they obviously cared enough to open the thread and then post in it. :dunno:

My comment was aimed at the infrastructure problems outlined in the original post, not the Winter Olympics themselves. I couldn't care less about the surrounding areas, and all the stupid puff pieces they'll be doing. While I do think that any competition where you have to wait for someone (judges) to tell you how well you did shouldn't be called sports, I do enjoy watching most of the events. I'm actually looking forward to watching many competitions this year, including most of the skiing events...

Ah, got it. How dare you add a substantive explanation that blows apart my initial overreaction!
