I feel bad for Real, because it was a good topic.

One game will not get our fans to bow to the Raptors and call it a night. Nor would I expect that of any Toronto fan if this kind of a whooping was on the other end. They successfully capatalized on us experimenting with lineups without our backup pg and landing a good enough roundhouse kick at halftime that comepletly sucked our teams desire out of the game looking at a back to back. Our starters played roughly one half of basketball as they sat while Toronto built the lead and came back in to unsuccessfully take a chunk out of it. These are not excuses as Toronto did come out and had a nearly flawless 48 minutes of basketball but anybody that watched that game realises that the Nets shot themsleves in the foot as much as anything the Raps did to them. Good for Toronto, i'm sure they're very happy with their victory but I think they would be foolish to think that the next game against us will be anything like this one.

How can one Raptors fan say we have to "get over it?" Did you even read the first post of the thread. The whole fucking topic is about us moving on and focusing on the next game. Reading comprehension is a very valuable trait to have.

Lmao, I love you nets fans. You guys get owned and you are in shock but telling everyone to calm down. Just live with it, you got served.
Some of you however need to calm down, if you take a win or lose this hard then I would advise you to stop watching basketball for the goodness of your health.

Fuck me, its one game two games into the season, get over it already.

Oh for goodness sakes. I'll be cheering for Philly tonight. You guys don't deserve anything. Such poor losers. It's one game, get over it. If you guys lose tonight, start worrying. Ignorance runs deep in Jersey I see.
All statements that imply in one way or another that we "need to get over it."

My bad, I thought you were complaining about the Raptors member who's created so much argument after the game (hollagr8). I don't see why you'd be annoyed by Raptors fans telling everyone to "get over the game" though. They're just echoing the thoughts of Real, who started the thread.

And NTC's a Pistons fan, I believe.

Great, you guys deserve to be smug and full of yourselves, but comming to our board for a pat on the back.. you need to be patted on the head.
To quote Mark Jackson "Congratulations on being undefeated".

hollagr8, you're misinformed. The Nets are NOT an old team. They have five players that were born in 1983 or later, and only TWO that were born before 1977--one of which, Darryl Armstrong, was signed to a one-year deal and has no future with the team. The other, Jason Kidd, was the best player on the national team this summer. I don't consider players who are around 27-31 years old to be "old." They have one player born in 1977, three in 1978, and a couple in 1980.

Their average age is 27.2. Dallas: 27.8. Denver: 27.0. Detroit: 27.2. Houston: 27.8. Clippers: 28.3. Miami: 27.7. Orlando: 27.0. Phoenix: 28.5. The Spurs: 30.0.

Toronto: 27.2. Pot, meet kettle.
Dude, I was talking about your stars. Will any fan from the Nets get a clue. Our stars and your stars have an age difference of 7 years. Okay, enough.. is there a point here?

Yup, delusional, your team sucks. I'm glad you gave Carter that contract extension. Now you'll see what Toronto saw in his final couple of years. A player with all the talent in the world and no commitment to winning. Outti..

Thanks for clearing that up, Kidd.

Nets beat the Sixers. haha.

To clear this up, not every Canadian plays hockey. I can't even skate and don't plan on learning how too.

We lost to the team that's first in the East. That's like loosing to the Spurs, no?

We'll see how "deep" we really are. Carter's injury may be a blessing in disguise. We'll be able to develop more of our bench. But Kristc should be comming off the bench. ...I think. Carter's injury kinda sucks. But we'll have Marcus back soon. The loss vs Celtics was expected by me, due to Krstic starting. As the season goes on we'll get better.
I just hope that we can fend off the injury bug. If we had a healthy recovered Krstic we had a good chance of beating the Celts. Anyway...Sean Williams is some talent, and I'm glad we chose him over Big Baby, although I would have taken him as well if we had that second pick.

No shame in to losin to the best team currently in the east. Krstic seems to still be struggling we will see what happens once he gets back to normal

What I really want to know is... Are we going to be fine or not?

Is this thread going to pop up after every loss? lol

Did you even look at my post? Carter, Jefferson and Krstic's average age is 27. Throw Kidd (who age doesn't seem to affect) in there and it's 28.5. In no way is that old.

Oh, and just to clear things up:

I'm assuming that by "your stars" you mean Parker, Garbajosa, Bosh and Ford. If you want to count Bargnani, we're counting Wright (probably the 5th best player on the team right now) for the Nets. Parker, Garbajosa and Ford's average age is 27.25. That's older than Carter, Jefferson and Krstic. If you count Bargnani (your youngest player)and the Nets count Wright, the Raptors' average age is 26.2. Counting Wright and Kidd, the Nets' "stars"average age is 27.6. If you switch Bargnani with Calderon and Kapono, who are just as much "stars" as he is, the Raptors' "stars" average age is 27. 27.6-27=....7?

Dude, Bargnani is a star, so don't even start with that stuff. Don't even compare Bargnani with Wright. Kidd is old, end of story. I'm talking our big three (Bosh, Bargs and Ford) and your big three (Kidd, Carter and Jefferson). Our average being 23 and your average being 30. Okay, I'm tired of this age thing. Nets are a great team okay.. man, you guys are like babies out there. Don't you guys have a game to play tonight, why don't you bother the Philadelphia faithful and try not to get blown out again today.. LOL

SO what ? Your"BIG" three is only 23. wow are you sure they are BIG ? or just the smallest of the small?

If you want the youngest, I can give you three kids name, they can only be 6 years old, and you can say:

hey, I have the youngest big three, haha, they will dominate the NBA 20 years later.

Welcome to S2, killa kadafi191!

Interesting username, never listened to his music, but of course, his lil friend Tupac's one of my favs.

And I agree, we just gotta give this team a little time. We're lucky enough to start out 4-2, when we usually start out way shittier.

I have faith that soon enough, the new guys will get integrated into the offense & defense, Krstic will get back to his old self, Vince will heal up, Marcus will be back, and this team should be running on all cylinders.

QUOTE (hollagr8)

Kidd is old, end of story

Jarkid if you didn't respond to this I totally would have missed this! I'd like to thank hollagr8 from joining a selective group of people (mostly media national in scope) who know nothing about the Nets and try to offer false analysis. Us Nets fans are very keen to this by now.

I feel the need to bring this thread up to say:

As long as Lawrence Frank continues making boneheaded decisions like he has been the past few games, we WON'T be fine. He's been making shit decisions lately and it's costing us games. What the hell is he thinking, really?

We're not going to be fine, if Frank is still the coach, and Twin is still the starting PF.
