What's really destructive to our democracy is when neither major party does a rigorous enough vetting of its candidates through the primary process that we end up with the fatally flawed people we have presented to us in the final election. The Dems gave Hillary a free pass. Bernie wouldn't even use the "damned emails" and even with that concession Debbie rigged it against him. And the Republicans... 16 other candidates and not one of them thought to, or was brave enough to, challenge Trump on his obvious women's issue? Stupid and careless process.

I was really into Dr. Ben Carson; I found him to be a very smart and level headed dude. But I think he wasn't 'dirty' enough for politics.

Oh fuck. I forgot Hot Dogs and I hate potato salad. Besides, hot dogs need to be cooked on site. Fried chicken can be pre cooked and still be good. I was thinking more along the lines of bringing a picnic basket as opposed to say a family picnic with a cooking area like at a park.
