Anybody hear anything about this..........

If he can't go tomorrow, you think Barton starts?

sprained thumb at some point during the game. played through it, but might be tough once it has cooled down.

I think we should move Batum to the 2 spot and have Jeffries start at SF. I would like to see how Batum handles the SG position. If it turns out golden; then I would love to see Matthews be the spark off the bench. He would be at least a 15-16 point scorer and he would still close games anyway. Something like Harden did for OKC last season.

Jeffries at the three? No.

Barton earned himself some playing time. He ought to replace Wessy.

Just look at last season when Nic started at the 2....... he killed it!

Matthews is playing well with the starters. If anything we should bench JJ and make him the Man off the bench. Just throw it to him in the post and make him the bench version of Aldridge.

I remembered. His long arms gave him a great advantage over the other guards. He can shoot over them. Also on the defensive end; he's always going to give you trouble because he's really good at making up for getting beat by blocking you from behind. And if he's one of the wings; he's going to be one of the first to get back to alter any fast break.

We need a bench and just because Matthews is coming off the bench; won't mean he isn't just as important. I think Matthews would kill it playing against other second string guards. IMO.

I like Barton but when did he earn himself time? He (like the rest of the bench outside of Leonard) has been down-right horrible. Pavlovic is probably the start even though he is blah, best of the worst I guess.

Ugh. Jeffries has never been an effective three. Far better to try out Barton (a real 2) and keep Nic at the 3.

Barton scored 12 points last night.

The guy is shooting 31% on the season. The talent is there in the future, and I am not opposed at all to giving him time but to say he has earned it at this point is a bit presumptuous.

Wes is a warrior. A sprained thumb isn't gonna make him lose his consecutive game streak.

Fuck what the shooting percentage says. He has not played enough for it to be a valid assessment of his skills. Throw him out there and see if he can swim. He looked 100 times more comfortable out there last night then he did in the previous short stints. Granted he was out of control his first few games, but he needs minutes to get better.

Having said all that, you could certainly start Pav and bring Barton off the bench. But get this kid some minutes.

After how he played last night, yes!

Will Barton needs to stand up twice to make a shadow.

He's so skinny, Travis Outlaw looked at him and said "Dang, that dude is skinny!"

What do you call Will Barton with a sprained ankle? A five wood...

Who would your prefer then? Pavlovic? Or the guy (Barton) who just had his best game as a pro? You do realize Kobe Bryant isn't an option?

You can experiment with Barton, but he can't sustain it yet for many minutes. Was it 2 games ago or 3, they activated him on the top 12 players, he got his chance, he entered the game, was a wild man who broke every play, and the coach shortly yanked him out in disgust. Barton didn't play again in that game.

Whether he starts, he won't get many more minutes than usual.
