I don't see the justification for the tech. In fact, Westbrook actually looked like he was pleading with them, not Shaqtin a Fool. I'm glad they rescinded the tech.

Since we don't know what he actually said to Ed Malloy, we have no way of knowing if the technical was deserved, or not. Given that Ed Malloy is one of the better, more level headed NBA officials, Westbrook must have said something that crossed a line for Malloy to T him up in the first place. I'd be pissed about this is I was an NBA official, not just Ed Malloy, but any NBA official. I like the use of replay, but this second guessing after the fact on technicals is total bullshit. Just because Westbrook wasn't jumping up and down and screaming doesn't mean the technical wasn't deserved.

So, if Westbrook gets a technical tonight, and OKC still has a chance to make the playoffs, will that one be rescinded, too? How many do overs does this guy get???? Why even have the 16 technicals = 1 game suspension rule if it only applies if the next game is meaningless?

As much as I hate Westbrick as a player.. And have my own opinions that both Westbrick and Scola flopped on that play...
Without knowing what Westbrick said to Maloy.. You can't really say yay or nay on the tech.

What I can say tho... I'm glad Westbrick is playing tonight... Guy put up 43 shots last night to get 54 points.. in a loss. I certainly hope he trys to do it again cause.... lol 43 shots rly?

WB supposedly was barking all game long. The refs warned him several times to stop. After being called for the foul, WB used the word “BS” that resulted in the technical.

Hope the Blazers pound the BS out of OKC tonight.
