Westbrook to Houston

I don't see Westbrook as ball-dominant in the same was CP3 is or Harden is. He doesn't just dribble 16 seconds off the shot clock doing nothing. He'll post up. He's a better set-up guy than Paul is now.

This team scares me more than the LA LeBron/ADs and even a little more than the Clippers. This is two MVP caliber players in the backcourt. And I think their styles fit.

Their fast breaks will almost be an automatic score and/or foul.

Westbrook is practically useless without the ball.

The same could be said about most guards in the NBA unless they are elite defenders. I mean, a guard without the ball can't score or pass.

You have a point, though, if Harden doesn't let Westbrook have the ball. However, Westbrook can play power guard, and he's better than Paul by quite a bit at this point. I think Harden will be more likely to defer to him enough to make them extremely dangerous.

He's owed over 41M/year over the next 3 years. How do you buy out a contract like that without trashing the team's cap? Paul isn't going to walk away from that kind of money. I think OKC will spend the next year or two exploring every trade they can to dump Paul

Paying him for a long time

And people were saying how unrealistic our mock off season was, ha ha, we got nothing on the real NBA!

Right! The mock off season was more realstic

I think Houston's the best team in the West now. I don't think Paul fit with Harden, but I think Westbrook can.

Huh? They both need the ball in their hands just like Paul and Westbrook did. I don't see much changing other than I bet Paul has to be pissed.

WHAT THE FUCK?

This is great for the Blazers! Obviously Houston was lying that there was no beef between Paul and Harden.

they were best buddies...what? don't you believe the State Farm commercials?

I think it's about 7 in 10 chances this pairing will fail, but I can see ways that Houston can be a real dangerous team; they'll live at the foul line. They sure as hell didn't get more likeable though.

Westbrick is a fantastic player if he's not the one making decisions in the 4th quarter. If he agrees to that, they'll be better. At some point, all of these future picks are going to catch up to Houston...

Westbrook played the last couple of years with Paul George and he still was extremely effective.

I don't like Westbrook. But he's not as ball dominant as you guys make him out to be.

if they jack 3's all game they might not get the chance to shoot FTs. I expect a lot of 50 plus three's most nights. Agree that Houston is less likable now.

Not if they keep running the same offense. Westbrook is useless off ball unlike Paul. Two near 40% usage guys on the same team seems like a bad idea, especially when one can’t shoot, and both are mediocre defenders.

40 misses

Those state farm commercials are about to get sad

I bet Paul is happy. He's likely to be bought out and he can go anywhere he wants. Likely the Clippers or Lakers.
