Westbrook to Houston

Westbrook played the last couple of years with Paul George and he still was extremely effective.

I don't like Westbrook. But he's not as ball dominant as you guys make him out to be.
He's going to be Houston's new pg. Harden is dominates the more much more than Paul or even Durant.

Disagree, George isn't near as ball dominant as Harden is..

They got bounced in the first round when teams gameplanned for them.

They’re gonna win a ton of regular season games, Harden and Westbrook will Destroy bad teams.

Not if they keep running the same offense. Westbrook is useless off ball unlike Paul. Two near 40% usage guys on the same team seems like a bad idea, especially when one can’t shoot, and both are mediocre defenders.
Yeah. Did Houston fire their analytics guys?
:)

He's not. But there are degrees to that. It's not an all-or-nothing proposition.

Paul needs the ball in his hands offensively all the time, and he's not nearly as good as Westbrook anymore. It's not close.

The post was about how Westbrook would co-exist with another star. He's not the one to worry about. If this doesn't work, it will be because Harden's ego is too big for it to work, that he won't share the ball.

So they gut their team and gut any hope for decent cap space?

It would have to be a long term buyout...no way they are paying $41 mill over a couple years.

Westbrook and Harden didnt work the first time

At the beginning of the season...
Westbrick will be 31,
Harden will be 30.

I think Houston's the best team in the West now. I don't think Paul fit with Harden, but I think Westbrook can.
I like the Clippers' bench better than the Rockets. Especially in the playoffs where the combination of Pat Bev, PG, and Kawhi can turn Harden and Westbrook to Brick City (shout out to Redman)

Rockets fans are happy. OKC fans just switched to a nearby texas team or the Nuggets
I get the Texas teams, but I'm curious as to why the Nuggets. LOL, it just seems random.

You're taking a response I made to a post directed to a specific post of mine and taking it totally out of context. Someone questioned how Westbrook would co-exist with another star. He did it pretty well.

But I'll address your point anyway: You are talking about how OKC did. Except Harden didn't join the Thunder. Westbrook joined a team that's advanced at least to the second round of the Western Conference playoffs four of the last five years and to the WC Finals two of the last five years.

Morey is a moron straight up

Houston and OKC. On
really? I know they are buddies but I don't see them meshing well together. Russ takes too many shots, and isn't a good shooter.

OKC has stockpiled a thousand picks

I can see Harden ripping the ball from Westbrook's hands, this is his team, he ain't going to be Paul George
unless every pundit is wrong, completely, this will be shitshow.

I can see it being effective in the regular season. It'll be harder for Westbrook in the playoffs when he has to take jump shots instead of layups.

Next closest team?

Paul is owed 123M. Now how much of that is he going to leave on the table? Lets' say 15M. That would mean that OKC would have 36M in dead salary over the next 3 years. 36M for a player who is on another team. Why the hell would they do that if there was still the chance they could trade him and get completely out of the contract a year or two earlier

unless I'm not understanding how buyouts are handled in the CBA, I can't see any path for OKC to buy-out CP3 without completely crippling their cap
