It's just irrational people who are
irrational people meaning gays, women, minorities, liberals, teachers, journalists and civil rights leaders? so to be rational, you must be a white male conservative? You really seeing Trump as rational? I may not have a degree in political science but every rational fiber of my soul says...this guy can't be trusted

It's irrational to believe any president is going to do anything to you personally. People need to grow a fucking sack, take the L and move on with their lives. Trump is president, lefties told everyone to give Obama a chance or shut the hell up it's time to do the same for Trump.

You've been on the anti Obama, Clinton rage train for a long time now.....when this campaign started, I actually thought you were onto something with the libertarian option but you quickly morphed into a Trumpette....and actually Denny, you have vented disgust at the outgoing administration at a pace rivaled really only by Rastas venting against Trump.....you actually think Trump instills confidence....I think the opposite. Your butt hurt goes both ways...you've dished it out, but can't seem to take it back

I think I want to wait and see what Trump actually does. If he cuts $10.5T out of government spending over 10 years, that's what Libertarians want.

If he focuses on government involvement in social issues, not so much.

I don't buy into the patriotism making no room for prejudice. Though he is quite precise that he opposes prejudice.

We absolutely have to hold the new administration to account for what it does. Republicans in congress, too.

As for Obama, he has a track record. Excuse me for being against dropping bombs on half a dozen countries and saying so. There's nothing extreme our unjustified in that position.

My commentary on the media is well founded. They are creating a caricature of what he really is and people are gobbling it up, regardless of how accurate the media actually is.

Denny - credit where credit is due. You always gave Obama the person respect. But let's not pretend that you weren't anything but 100% predictably against any and everything he did as president. Your lens was tainted.

I was for his pardons at the end, no? I was for his ending don't ask don't tell, which Clinton pushed for and signed. I was for not coming down on marijuana users, producers, and sellers. I was for allowing gays to marry. I was for extreme scrutiny of the police departments and how they've treated blacks in their communities. When he did good things, I spoke up.

As I've said, I'm not for his warmongering, economic policies that killed good jobs and led to pathetic growth, running up the debt, bailing out wall street and banks, forcing people to hand over money to insurance companies (and for shitty insurance at that), and general awful foreign policy for the whole 8 years. His economy was good for the 1%, not for main street; the wealth gap only grew. The quality of life for black people only got worse.

Everything? Uh uh.

bullshit.....my draft number was 18....I was sent by Nixon to fight a war I didn't believe in....don't fool yourself that a president can't affect you personally. They can and we didn't end that war by shutting up...I'm excercising my freedom of speech..I voted....I have every right to complain and I feel I have reason to complain...nothing to do with Hillary losing...it all has to do with the lack of integrity Trump shows day in and day out. You can cheer him on...I want to dump him as soon as possible....felt exactly the same about Nixon

This.

They are creating a caricature of what he really is
He has created his own caricature Denny....the media is not populated with idiots as you seem to think..nor should they all be lumped together behind any news spin....nice try....Trump attacked the media and they fought back...Trump threw the first punch....they were his scapegoat...now he suffers their wrath and it's the fault of who? Conflict seems to be Donald's only defense mechanism...face it...the dude just doesn't have any answers for even the simplest questions.

Reagan cut my mortgage payment by $450/month at a time I was making $16,000 a year. The interest rate dropped from 18 5/8% to 12 1/8% in the 90 days it took to close on our first home. The rate drop saved the $450/month. The house cost $52,000 and the down payment was $2500.

I'll take that over any tax cut, though he cut my taxes, too.

Yes, the media is populated with smart people with an agenda.

Blazed across the bottom of the CNN screen: 'Millions march against Trump' - yet the marches were about all sorts of issues and not against Trump. But if they show only the speeches of the hollywood celebs who have nothing to offer but hate, it paints an inaccurate picture.

Even CNN in their panel discussions admitted the marches weren't against Trump, but against some of the policies he MIGHT implement.

A friend of mine went to the march here in San Diego and said she saw little anti-trump anything. A lot of the people in the march were marching for clean water and other issues.

So yes, caricature is a perfect word for it.

admitted the marches weren't against Trump
uh...guess you didn't read any of the millions of protest signs or not my president slogans....way to keep on the blinders...and you don't believe CNN if I'm not mistaken?

I did read the protest signs.

There were some anti-trump signs, but there were plenty of signs that didn't mention him.

Better than clueless egotists with an agenda and in fairness....everybody has a fucking agenda...you have an agenda

I do.

It's acceptable for editorial writers to have an agenda.

The news reporters are supposed to be objective, and that's where they failed.

It's quite transparent and the people get it.

The Trump administration needs to start owning up to their shit. Sending Spicer out to spew petty lies, sending Conway onto national tv the next day to lie and deny as is the usual modus operandi, and for Trump to throw a tantrum while visting the CIA, is all very telling that Trump the reality star cannot separate himself from Trump the president. When an administration comes out on the first day and spurt lies, it must be presumed that everything we hear from them are going to be lies.

Fully, accurately, and fairly.

The people at the CIA cheered Trump when he did his rant against the press.

Roughly 400 CIA employees attended the speech, for which there had been an open invitation. The self-selected crowd repeatedly interrupted Trump cheering and clapping.

...

Trump drew laughs from the crowd when he described reporters as “the most dishonest human beings” and claimed he’d drawn as many as 1.5 million people to his inauguration despite official estimates closer to 200,000 and repeated images of empty standing spaces. A few miles away, at the White House, Trump aides were soon setting up pictures of the crowd inside the press briefing room.

some? how about millions? They were burning Trump effigies.....wearing Trump masks with long noses....give me a break.

And many millions more that aren't.

Since we like tweets.

So the people that wanted and chose to go to his speech were cheering occasionally. Umm I mean "biggest, most amazing standing ovation in history! They clapped till their hands bled. And I know hands, believe me."

They didn't have to go.

The didn't have to cheer.

They didn't boo.

The press is more interested in spinning it as a rude thing to do in front of the wall of stars of fallen CIA agents.

you've now cut and pasted about 7 people holding women's rights signs which is also a part of the protest.....not at all an accurate portrayal of events yesterday but definitely part of the parade.....

There are 21,000 CIA employees. It's not surprising that the 400 that would self-select to attend a Trump speech would include Trump fans.

barfo

That's NBC New York making the tweet.

If they could have found a picture of nothing but "I hate trump" signs, they would have.

The room doesn't hold 21,000. Not all those employees are in Langley VA.

Great logic. Again!

I don't have twitter....don't want it but I do have the ability to follow live streaming news feeds and I saw enough yesterday to say I was impressed with the scope of the protest across the board....if you think that planned parenthood wasn't an issue...well maybe you should read more than twitter feeds
