I'm interesting in reading what you think are the pros and cons of each Presidential Candidate and what they stand for?
Just to get the perspective from Denny Crane, Huevon, RipCity, AEM, Raiders, Real, Hunter, Thoth, and TheBeef.

Please try to state both Pros and Cons for both candidates. If you feel one candidate`s policy has more pros then cons that`s fine.

Example:

Obama:

Obama
Pros: Rock Star
Cons: everything else

McCain:
Pros: Liberal Republican
Cons: everything else

Obama doesnt know what he stands for until he reads the breifing....McCain is exactly what Denny said he was

Obama
Pros: Speaks well
Cons: Inconsistent stances

McCain
Pros: Fought in a war
Cons: Inconsistent stances

Obama
Pro: Ronald Reagan/JFK type charisma
Con: No substantive public policy

McCain
Pro: Maverick, does what he thinks is right
Con: Old

Obama:

Pros:
health care
cutting taxes for the middle class
commitment to end the war
ability to get people involved in whats going on in the country/world
socially liberal
young and motivated
is not George Bush

Cons:
a little too far left
not much of a track record
not strong enough on illegal immigration

McCain:

Pros:
doesn't always follow the party
willingness to cut spending and eliminate earmarks
experienced and well respected among fellow leaders
is not George Bush

Cons:
committed to waste more time and money in Iraq
permanently cutting taxes for mostly the richest people in the US
has ties with the religious right
spent too many years in Washington to be motivated enough to make a difference
too much of a temper for a position with so much power

It's been a long day at the office, here are just a few ones I can think of off the top of my head. I bet I am missing a bunch but oh, well.

Obama:
Pros:
- Great public speaker and orator - can inspire the masses
- Recognizes some of the problems facing America
- Popular abroad
- You can relate to him because of his youth

Cons:
- Too young and in-experienced; no real government experience
- Has great "concepts" but hasn't laid out how he will accomplish the goals
- Extremely left and the thought of him, Pelosi and Reid running the show is scary
- Yes the health care system is messed up, but universal health care is NOT the answer
- His philosophy on raising the corporate gains tax will hurt nobody but the average consumer
- Judicial philosophy leans towards justices who want to be policy makers from the bench
- Wouldn't trust him in a national crisis
- Not hard enough on immigration
- Anti-Drill

McCain:
Pros:
- Very experienced in the political arena
- Doesn't side with a party just to side with a party
- Served in the military; extensive foreign policy experience
- Proven history of working with Democrats and Republicans
- Judicial philosophy is "spot on"
- Energy Policy: Drill, Drill, Drill.

Cons:
- Age
- Horrible public speaker
- Not conservative enough

I agree with Thrilla for the most part, except I don't see McCain's anger as being a big deal. Great analysis, Thrilla!

Yeah I agree with Thrilla for the most part, although tax cuts for the rich aren't always bad. Nice job though.

Just an FYI.

The "rich" or "people" making over $200K or $250K aren't always people. They're more often than not the corner drug store or restaurant or any of a number of obvious small business that people would make as an LLC for liability purposes.

This is why those who have a clue say it hurts small business.

Well, you're obviously the only person in the room with clue, Denny. Why in the world do you hang around us dumb people?

To bring you the truth.

Seriously.

Well, I was thinking more of the politicians and pundits I see on TV advocating raising taxes, but oh well.

Yeah, it is. You'll find that if I'm wrong about something, I'm humble enough to admit it and eat any crow I deserve for it.

Damn, that was vicious. Heh, I 'm surprised this hasn't come up more often.

He's been married to his current wife for a long time.

Personally, I really don't care that he did that. To me, that's between him, his wife, and that broad. It won't change my opinion of him, unless he is throwing someone else under the bus for infidelity. In my lifetime, I have watched Congressmen and one President get caught cheating on their spouses. Both liberals and conservatives, multiple times.

It's an inexcusable violation of marriage.

The reason why it hasn't come up often is because John McCain already has talked about it at length, saying it was completely his fault, and he is still friends with his ex-wife.

Another reason is that people know McCain spent 5 1/2 years in hell. He obviously came back fucked up and had to recover, so they give him a pass. It is inexcusable, but that's probably why nobody brings it up.

Yeah that wouldn't affect my vote or anything (I'm going Barry either way), I just mean that I thought certain liberal groups would have brought it up in the media more by now.
