I'm just reading about Carol Kaye at the moment, and I'm realizing what an impact some of these studio musicians had on classic rock.

We all know that gimmicks like the Monkeys weren't real bands, but now I'm finding out that the same might be true about the Beach Boys... that just shakes my confidence in the music industry even more.

More people should contribute to this thread, but I don't have any problem talking to myself. When I can't decide what to listen to, I'll just return to this thread, like a word bank for a crossword puzzle.

I'm not sure if I've posted this artist/song before, but regardless, Marcelo D2 is a Brazilian artist recommended to me from a Brazilian friend of mine. I can't understand a word he's staying, yet I still bump this track non-stop. I can recite most of the lyrics, even though I have no idea what the hell he's saying.
