What are your thoughts on the season?

Overall, I was happy with this season. Going into it, I didn't think the Knicks could make the playoffs with that roster. They had no excitement, there wasn't much to look forward to, other than maybe Michael Sweetney's progression.

Then, when they brought in Isiah Thomas, Lenny Wilkens, Stephon Marbury, and Tim Thomas, everything turned around. The Knicks were now an up and coming team, with a promising future.

I was actually disappointed. Right after the Marbury trade the Knicks were on a roll. Marbury was playing great, so was KVH, as well as Kurt Thomas. Up until then Isaah had made all the right moves. But, when he traded KVH for Tim Thomas, besides sending them into a losing streak, they lost their best shooter. Tim Thomas is a decent player but he is not aggresive enough on the boards and offensively as KVH. IMO that trade ruined the Knicks chances at the second round. But besides that and H2O's injury, it was an all around good season.

I think it was a pretty decent season. If you remember, just before the Marbury trade, Frank Williams was showing he could play. It must have been difficult for him to go from starting to back to the bench in such a short space of time. I hated the Tim Thomas-KVH trade and agree with BC that TT is definetly not the offensive rebounder that KVH is (although it's pretty hard not to). Mike Sweetney didn't start off the season too well, but he showed he could crack the rotation close to the end.

I hate the way Keith Van Horn plays, so I was glad he was gone. Frank Williams was putting up real good numbers before the Marbury trade, and he could be a solid backup.

Thomas had his moments, but he wasn't the player the Knicks needed. But I was just glad Van Horn was gone.

Why hate on Van Horn? From their time together, it looked like Marbury and KVH had buried the hatchet. Van Horn was making Marbury look like the best PG in the league, knocking down shots after amazing passes from Starbury. There is no doubt in my mind that KVH could have wound up as the Knicks' MVP.

The season went well for the new york knicks considering they had a horrible record shifting it to a decent one making the playoffs. Like BC stated, Isiah made all the right moves until the Keith Van Horn trade, leading them to a 5-6 game losing streak and ruining the chances of going to the second round. Keith and Marbury for the first time started looking like friends and then KVH gets traded. Overall, the season was not that bad.

I have seen Van Horn play in NJ, Philly, and New York. Everytime, he has spurts of where he plays well. He is way to soft. He would have tailed off shortly after. I don't think getting Tim Thomas was great, but I would rather have him than Van Horn.

The Knicks could've gotten a better record if Don Chaney was fired earlier in the season.

Chaney had no team. He didn't have close to what Wilkens had.

:thumbsdow Tim Thomas is even softer than KVH, at least Van Horn was willing to take big shots and rebound. Thomas fades away into the background in the second half. Marbury was forced to take every shot down the stretch. I don't see why you would hate how KVH plays, he may be inconsistent but just about every Knick is. Van Horn had his problems but until he was traded he was playing the best season I'd ever seen him play.

Tim Thomas is not softer than Keith Van Horn. The end of his Knick career was probably the best he ever played. The beginning of the season was terrible. And his career with the Sixers was just as bad. Every fan wanted him out.

I didn't know there were many big shots on a mediocre team in the middle of the season? Van Horn was incredibly inconsistent. I saw him with the Bucks, he tried to drive, and the defender just ripped the ball out of his hands. I am so glad he is gone.

The Knicks had a good season espically good for the way they started.The person who saved the Knicks was of course Isiah Thomas without him the Knicks 03-04 season would have been really bad.First off he brought in a superstar in Stephon and he brought a great coach in Lenny Wilkens everything alse just fell into place.I think if Allan Houston would have been healthy the Knicks would have won more of their games and probally went farther in the playoffs.A good season but, they are missing consistant players,Im sure Zeke will find that in the offseason.
