What can CJ, Wright, and Leonard give you?

I'd pass on Mayo. He showed up way out of shape and never bothered to try on the bucks. Everyone remembers the blazing start he got off to on the Mavs then forget that he became super inconsistent after two months. I'd honestly rather give CJ a shot then bring in an overpaid possible locker room cancer in Mayo.

I would stay away from him as well. There have been attitude questions every place he has played since high school. No idea if they are warranted, but none the less they still seem to keep popping up.

wonder if those three could get you in the discussions of kluv trade to boston. money wise it seems that bostons assets wouldn't thrill Minnesota other than draft picks and maybe green. bass holds little or no value to a rebuilding minny and rondo's departure would limit loves desire to go east. Rubio indicated little stomach for a rebuilding franchise along with adleman's departure and thought about greener pastures come RFA next season. so, as facilitator and a talent consolidation I would put forth a 3-way between minny-boston-portland. ainge gets his franchise savior(second since he took control) in kevin love
minny gets marcus smart jeff green and a protected 1st next year/their own and the clips unprotected another brooklyns 2016 and w/ little protections, their own 2017 (including smart lottery picks plus whatever the 16/17 yields and green)
minny also gets from Portland cj,trob, leonard

quite a haul for minny

Portland for facilitating this receives Rubio from minny and sullinger from boston
thoughts???
Rubio fraks with the cap space plan cause he needs rfa qualifier next year. sullinger is a meh but seems healthy enough for a guy who was predicted to be early lottery before back issues. rebounds and takes up space pretty good. solid back-up 4/5. Hibberts offer sheet and the good will that generated seems to be a part of the "cap space plan" for 2015 and am not sure how this impacts his potential acquisition.

I've always been a Rubio fan, at least comparatively speaking to the rest of the members on this forum. But I don't know if I could think of a worse team for him to come play for. Our offense is based on spreading the court with jump shooters which would be a disaster with Rubio skill set. Minny isn't ready to give up on Rubio either. He wouldn't be happy as a limited backup here after starting all of last season. The Minnesota 5 man starting offense was one of the most productive in the league; they were one of the only teams with less bench production than us. With Rubio having good and bad qualities they wouldn't want to give him up yet.

I'd be interested in Sullinger, he looks promising. I don't know if trading him for CJ makes sense for either team.

Wright and Leonard have zero trade value in my opinion. Better to just leave them on our roster. Especially Wright; he provided solid minutes at SF/PF for us last season. Yes it was disappointing from what we hoped he would provide but he was lightyears better than Pavlovic or Babbitt.

had subbed trob for wright as I agree a $3mil expiring but guaranteed money and roster spot would be of negative value to Minn. also contingent on rubio's sticking to previously expressed typical Spaniard whine-age about situation in the wake of love departure. he doesn't want to continue loseing and/or rebuild. I think the assets added to make the money side work, the opportunity to develop smart and Zach lavine in rubio's absence might at least start the tweaking of deal. plenty of future/too many future firsts for klove and Rubio package.

Rubio can't throw a basketball in a swimming pool

Rubio is a decent defender and a good distributor. He's also tall enough to play alongside Damian and be more PG to Damian's more SG.
