<div class="quote_poster">LBJ2006MVP Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Omg people!!!! I ment to say if he does come to NY will he play at the same type of all star level or become another Jefries. We saw what happend to other "Stars" we got, and can he fit with our system which I don't really know what we play lol.</div>
Jeffries is a poor example to compare even in terms of productiveness in general because he never really did too much at Washington.
If he gets fair minutes there's no questioning his offensive productivity, when opposing coaches look at players like Lewis you know you can't shut him down completely it's a matter of how many points can I limit this guy to.
He creates mismatches with his height and agility so in response to the question "What can Lewis bring to NY?" he can bring a lot. He would fit in nicely if we can dump jeffries somewhere as well!
Let's pretend we went back to the Larry Brown era of the knicks, or rather the season which he coached the knicks, if u inserted Lewis into the lineup would they have that terrible record?
Imagine the following lineup:
C-Curry
PF-Lee
SF-Lewis
SG-Richardson
PG-Marbury
Curry, Lewis, Marbury and Richardson can have 20 points any night.Great rebounders in Lee, Lewis and Richardson.Marbury isn't exactly the best PG in the L in terms of passing but he plays with aggressiveness, which the majority of PG's lack.Lee can clean up rebounds, gets garbage points and if teams don't D him he will get buckets.
