What did Tony Kornheiser say about Lillard?

I completely agree. This is what I think about every time I hear this argument. It holds no water, but no one ever calls them on it for fear of corporate backlash.

On top of that, don't most of their games start at 7:30 instead of 7? Seems like whenever we play Lakers or Clips in Staples it is always later than 7. So their games are actually LATER than ours.

You are CORRECT! During season, Blazers games are at 7pm/10pm and Lakers and Clippers games are at 7:30pm/10:30pm.

There are a lot of distractions revolving around Damian. I hope he is mature enough to hold it all together.

Yeah, just like the Lakers and the Clippers, you dickhead.

Most Blazer home games start at 10:10 eastern, too. So he could actually watch a half of the Blazers before Mr. Crankypants needs to take his Metamucil and go to bed.

And Kornheiser got Portland fans to talk about him for a day.

He just pulled a Canzano on you guys.

I still won't watch his show, though. I did lose respect for him. So maybe he considers that a win.

Twitter is blowin up over this a hole now. He might have gotten that attention he so badly wanted, but he might not be ready for what hits him. Dame, La, and this whole team thrives on shit like this.

What are people saying? I guess i'm not following anyone outside of Lillard that has mentioned it.

Who the * is Austin Rivers? I have never heard of him.

twitter, lol...

LA is populated almost entirely by transplanted easterners, aside from the illegal Mexicans.

It's why it's the only city West of the Rockies known for rudeness and dishonesty.

It wasn't just the one shot. It was how he behaved throughout the entire series. How many times he responded when the team needed it. Coming up with a big shot after big shot through the games which either kept them close or lead them to victory.

I think he is a star. And might be the second best point in the game. Behind Paul.

Lillard carries himself the same way Paul does. There are a lot of similarities in their offensive games, although Paul is more ball-dominant at this point of career than is Dame.

He's got his head together similarly to Paul. Pauls experience is where he gets the advantage. That and in ball distribution.

Who even likes Kornheiser? PTI is a good show but they would be so much better if they could switch hosts to like SVP and Kellerman.

Back in the 90s he was a hilarious sports columnist for the Post.

TK has always been known for his wit, but not his insight, especially with hoops.

Yeah, he's obviously a douche, but i just don't understand how someone from such a tiny town gets off on calling a city with 600,000 people an outpost.

Because being from LI, especially the eastern half, is like being from Beaverton or Gresham; it's a suburb of NY.

Tony's just trolling; he doesn't believe half the shit he says. He and Wilbon have their act down.

I think it's a small creek in Texas. It's dry most of the year, except when there's a flash flood and all the cows drown.

FWIW, Lillard was abundantly praised on Keith Olbermann's program on ESPN2.

I thought it was a river in Kansas that has highly over rated white water rafting, and is fairly shallow except for its mouth which is vast and flows quickly.

Kansas...Texas...what's the difference? ;)

Wilbon was sticking up for all things Portland. Kornheiser is a DC guy who I'm guessing hasn't been to Portland since the Drexler teams, if even then.

No. What happens is the producer gets topics for the show together. Before the show they talk about what side of the topic they want to be and then once the show starts they take a extreme stance without any regard of how silly it is as long as its the polar opposite of the others.

Its why I stopped watching all those bullshit shows that ESPN puts out about 10 years ago.

Not sure what side of the fence you swing on politically (most Republicans don't like Keith) but I think his show is pretty awesome.

I just find it boring. TBH I wish ESPN would just do MMA Live and reboot Stump the Schwab for late night. We don't need another opinion show that's about the same topic the other 40 had talked about.

I hate when people complain about the rain here. As a native (who has family all over the US and has been to many places) the facts just don't support this silliness. Portland receives less annual rainfall than most cities on the East Coast, however rain often falls as a light drizzle for several consecutive days at a time, contributing to the high number (155) of days with measurable (≥0.01 in or 0.25 mm) precipitation annually. 155 is a far cry from 300 KornHolio!

I'll accept rain over humidity and snowstorms ANY DAY.

Around the Horn was on before that, 2 of the 4 said Paul Pierce's block was a bigger play than Lillard's shot. Just to go along with the whole avoiding ESPN programing.

Wow really? What a bunch of horse shit. There's no way they actually believe that. They just have to disagree for the sake of it because it's part of the format of the show.

Lillard's shot will go down in the annals of great basketball shots of all time and will show up in replays 15 years from now. Pierce's block will be forgotten in a few weeks. And that Pierce block with nothing great. It's not like he soared through the air with a miraculous game saving rejection. The play was a mess and Pierce was in the right place at the right time. And the dude was so off balance the shot probably wouldn't have gone in anyway.

Those guys can suck a dick. They know Lillard's shot was easily the best.
