King, as I said , I meant no offence. It is common knowledge that Broadway does enjoy the same degree of attention as San Francisco does. Not a slander, merely an observation. To point out the vastness of SPDs knowledge on the subject was more of a tip of the hat in jest.

I love Broadway and have to admit that I grew up in a house where my mom was always listening to musicals. I still know the words to most 60s and 70s musicals. That said, those questions are tough! I could answer about half.

My favorite Broadway memory was when I was in NY about a month after 9/11. Went and saw Les Miz (5th time!), which was closing its run at that time. It was such an emotional event, with tons more meaning than the show, and the show is the best. Also saw Bernadette Peters close Gypsy and that was fantastic.

Broadway is one of the great things you can do.

Given a choice of 3 month at sea or being force to sit through that many plays, guess what I would choose? I did go to a Broadway play once though. And once in Chicago. Not my thing but I love some of the music from Broadway.

I've never seen a show on Broadway, but I've seen at least four traveling Broadway productions when they come to Portland. My favorite so far was Miss Siagon about 20 years ago. I wanted to see the book of Morman but decent seats started at $400, which I can't afford right now.

Avenue Q was pretty great. Cats sucked, Rent was cool, Caberet was slutty hot, spring awakening was weird, Annie was pretty impressive for the kids talent. Is grease a Broadway show? Seen that.

As far as the trivia goes, I don't know much about the actual Broadway in NY, except they say the neon lights are pretty bright there.

Just to be sure, what are your answers for 4,9,10 and 11? As far The Book of Mormon goes, they do a lottery 2.5 hours before each show. If you win, you get great seats for like $20-37 depending on where you are. (Tour or Broadway). Also, if you ever let me know in advance, I have access to house seats (the best seats in the house) for normal full price (around $170) and not the premium price (around $400.)

I saw Cabaret when it was at Portland Center Stage with Storm Large... it was phenomonal.

Saw the Seattle run of Young Frankenstein with Megan Mullally (Karen from Will and Grace) and that was great.

Rent is my go to, seen it way too many times.

I have -read- and -listened- to Avenue Q, but haven't seen it, which sounds weird. Still needs to see Cats. Spring Awakening hahaha. That's a trip,
