That's beside the point I'm making.Teams sure find a way to do it to Dame.
And says much more about our surrounding personnel.

My feeling is that sure many teams run a similae scheme as the Blazers do, but I think they change things up and throw more wrinkles into their schemes. Guess its just an opinion and yes I am bias as a Blazer fan. That's besides the point I'm making.

Yeah as one of Zach's biggest supporters it's frustrating, but he's taking it well and I have no doubts that they've communicated to him that he's still a large part of their future.Ultimately what I find so strange about the Kanter signing iswhat it says about Stotts / NO must think of Collins.
You know whats a really good thing to do with 21 year olds who are struggling with their footing in the NBA? Start playing mental games, let them play one of the best games of their life, and then never really see the court again. I thought Zach at times on offense was already becoming hesitant. Cant imagine this helps, especially since he apparently cant even get minutes over Meyers...
Yeah, I just hope it doesnt mess with his confidence and developement.Yeah as one of Zach's biggest supporters it's frustrating, but he's taking it well and I have no doubts that they've communicated to him that he's still a large part of their future.
And not sure Enes is guaranteed a spot in the rotation for the rest of the regular season and the playoffs.
But we'll see.
I think Terry basically goes into games or stretches of games with a “gameplan” and basically does that. He might draw up a good play here and there from a time out, but in my opinion one of his weaknesses as a coach is in game adjustments.
I think Zman has unwavering confidence for such a young big!Yeah, I just hope it doesnt mess with his confidence and developement.
Guess shouldnt be confused if they ignore how to run certain schemes. Many other teams are able to run multiple schemes without their guys getting confused. If he really said that... yikes.I remember someone asking Stotts about adjustments in a regular season game a few seasons ago. He basically said something to the tune of "We have a scheme, and I don't want to confuse the guys by switching it up in the middle of a game."
They don't have the speed for it.If the Beavers used the spread option more with Smith, like WSU has done effectively, they will get better.
Having met you in person, I can agree with that as you don't see like someone who gets easily offended.
I was just pointing out an consistent theme with the OP as well as the consistent 'language barrier excuse' used for him.
Sure he'll come and apologize later, but at some point with the same type of posts made by the OP. Apologies start to fall on deaf ears yaknow.
Enes Kanter's mis-conception on defense that derails him to being an utter liability and to a negative plus-minus in each and every game he played for us, is actually quite simple and easy to fix:
He simply stays with his man on defense, no matter what. His man goes to the 3-point line, he goes with him. his man takes him to somewhere behind the basket, he goes with him. This totally cancels his ability, as our Center, to protect the rim. When he plays we have no rim protection whatsoever, just a clear lane to the basket for any opposing player.
So what he needs to do? fix his priorities on defense. Protect the rim 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Staying with his man is also a priority but if the opposing Center goes far away from under the basket it becomes less and less a priority anyway.
Don't be fooled like that again, Enes. Defend the paint, protect the rim.

I could see that arguement if you tried to install like a dozen really complex schemes that would probably not work and would be really hard when they bring in guys mid season.Guess shouldnt be confused if they ignore how to run certain schemes. Many other teams are able to run multiple schemes without their guys getting confused. If he really said that... yikes.
I guess. Honestly if you said it about me, Id probably just agree with you heh.
My certainly would.

Another personal insult from a poster who is known to do such things.
Language barrier excuse can only be used for so long before he has to take accountability for his posts.
Again this poster decides to throw insults when others disagree with him.
@SlyPokerDog @PtldPlatypus @Chris Craig @Strenuus
It's funny some people look to be offended and climb atop that soapbox.
I would laugh at the insult and the person (even if it was face-to-face). Usually a person loses the argument by the time they resort to insults. It's hilarious to me.![]()
Laughing usually gets the blood boiling more, causing more insults. lol.
Its funny.

Telling someone they don't use their brain is an insult, yes.
All because someone disagreed with the OP.
Now if he would've said their post doesn't have a brain or referred to the post in any way.
Grey area of this site allows such a comment.
OP needs to learn how to play the game.

grey area makes me think of this quote. If a poster or post doesn't have a brain, how can it be a "grey area"?

Bump.
Enes needs to continue to improve. Protect the rim as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd priority. Stay with his man as long as he's under the basket. If it's someone like Brook Lopez it's a challenge, but against most Centers he needs to stay in the paint, protect the rim.
BTW, if you understand the challenge Brook Lopez presents think Meyers Leonard. The Meyers needs to get some playing time, even his defense improved and on offense he's an amazing tool to have
So he should let a penetrating guard get an open dunk or layup as long as he's guarding his man?Bump.

Exactly the opposite. He needs to protect the paint and Not let an opposing guard get an easy dunk, that's exactly what i meantSo he should let a penetrating guard get an open dunk or layup as long as he's guarding his man?
You said he needs to stay with his man.Exactly the opposite. He needs to protect the paint and Not let an opposing guard get an easy dunk, that's exactly what i meant
But also said he needs to protect the rim.You said he needs to stay with his man.
So he needs to magically be on two places at once, got it.But also said he needs to protect the rim.
Stay with his man while his man is in the paint, react to penetration to protect the rim, and prepare for the penetrating guard to dish off to the man he left. Just like Nurk or any other center is expected to do.So he needs to magically be on two places at once, got it.
