What exactly do we need in a new arena that couldn't be added to the Moda Center

Our seating capacity is fine.
We need to add a better/bigger video board.
We need to add a better/bigger hustle board.
More bathrooms would be nice but that could just be an addition.
Seems like we have enough skyboxes. Not sure if they're sold out but it always looks like there are empty ones during the games.

These are being improved at Moda right now and they are going to be awesome. Huge improvement over what we had before. They will be ready for opening night.

how much does it cost to redevelop the area around the arena and the infrastructure, the concourse, the boxes/club level and the seats and other parts of the interior (in addition to the video/audio system and scoreboards/jumbotron that are already being done and have been paid for?)

that seems like a lot of $$, to me.

Unmovable benches would destroy the ability to reconfigure the Moda for things like hockey, Theater in the Clouds, and Monster Truck stuff.

You could fit more people. But, it would suck and there would be too many drawbacks including the ones you mentioned.

Mine is the best. You load up in Portland and ride the ship down the Columbia while the sunsets. YOU CAN'T TOP THAT WITH YOUR BRICK AND MORTAR ARENA!

The Moda doesn't need to be gutted ffs. key arena wasn't significantly better than Memorial Coliseum, let's not act like the Moda is a dump.

A new arena should be in the plans, but it's not like they can't fix up Moda to make it more than fine.

It mostly needs a financial commitment from the owner(s) and the city.
