I know I will be called a blasphemer, but I truly believe that no man or woman will go to hell after Jesus died. Also, I think when Jesus went to hell, he brought back all souls that were there.

So now, do your best to shoot my theory down.

But women will.

Those evil bitches!

Where, in your mind, will the unsaved go?

"Anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell."

- Jesus

Nobody actually truly believs in hell. If they did, they would never waiver, even for a second.

Jesus said, "Scoffers will be the first in line at the gates of Hell."

I believe you tell yourself that you believe, but I don't believe you actually do. You have told jokes on here, and mentioned past issues that tell me you waiver. I contend, no matter what you say to me, you would never have put your afterlife in jeopardy if you truly believed in hell.

Don't forget what ABM stands for...

Dude, I am a sinner. We all are. The key to my relationship with Christ is that I'm by His Grace, not by anything I've done or haven't done. Christianity isn't "works-based." I still sin, for sure. The Bible tells me that I will. My heart is with Jesus, though. I repent and carry on.

That said, for sure I've crossed the line in here over the years. Shoot, I'm just so glad that I've recently drawn closer to Jesus than I ever have in my life. The Scriptures have assured me that I'll be in Heaven some day. :)

Do you remember when the thief on the cross just told Jesus to remember him? Then Jesus said you will be with me in heaven?

Do you remember when Jesus went into hell to cast sin out, then brought up those that were there to heaven?

I believe that Jesus became the final sacrifice and any person has the right to be in heaven. The salvation or "presentation and acceptance of grace" allows us to live on this planet without the burden of death.

I think when Jesus came and died; he died for all sin. We can quote scripture back and forth; but I've been battling this in my head for a long while.

I truly believe the arguments of atheist, saying how sadistic god is; is a wrong interpretation. There will be a day when we all see God. Some will be very embarrassed about what they think was right, myself included.

Well good luck. I just don't see how, if you do truly believe in hell, that you could ever sin. The risk would just be too great.

Now I know that you say you do, and that's fine. I just see too many religious people sin too frequently for me to believe that anybody truly believes in hell. But nothing says you need to truly believe in hell, just that you need to truly believe in Christ.

That's the wrong way to look at it brother. The man has ego and that ego destroys peace. They live in a society that believes that by works; is the true value of man. Man's fear that one day they die and either they just go black or they go into another world.

The reality is life on earth becomes hell because life is lived without hope. Salvation is the freedom from death. It's not a ritual but an understanding. With that understanding you become free from the burden of death.

You have your own definitions. I'm talking about the fire and brimstone hell. The one you might hear about at a Christian Sunday school. I just don't think anybody, or at least most people who claim they believe in that hell, are true believers.

The hell you're talking about is more from Dante's Inferno than the actual bible.

It's a very common mistake even among Christians.

Then perhaps this thread should have begun with, what do people think hell actually is?

Not following. What common mistakes do Christians make?

What if I have a cottage with a mountain view?

That's what Harry Truman had bragged about regarding his digs on Spirit Lake.

The bible is a compilation of so many works, why not just add the book of Dante. Then we will have a much better description of hell.
