why hold schools responsible?
teachers and schools are nearly impotent with influcence of todays youth.
As a teacher you can't punish them in any meaningful way because 90% of the parents back their child now and once a child knows the parents are blaming the teachers for situations the child has created, they grow more bold with the teachers and the teachers lack the support from the parent.
beyond a detention, what can teachers do? and if the student doesn't do the detention what are the consequences? Nothing because the parent will go to the principal and say their child was unjustly treated.
blame society and this PC "everyone is special and should be treated fairly blah blah blah" world we live in.
Teachers have been neutered in this battle, no wonder they have less influence on kids today.
