When someone says bump a thread, does that mean posting in a thread 2 days old or over a year old?

What do you deem bumping of a thread?

So Apparently I have reading comprehension issues because I deemed Bumping of threads to be old threads as a common assumption amongst members here. But it appears some people think I mean bumping an old thread is commenting in one that has not been for 2 days( fucking idiotic to even think that is bumping a thread, but i'm being accused of it now.....)

So, whats your time table of a Bumped thread vs a thread that is simply ongoing?

congrats on dumbest post of the year though. Maybe this will help you figure it out. Notice it doesn't refer to any time frame. :biglaugh:

Now can we let it go? You can post all you want in the other thread as I am done with discussing it with you in that thread and you can continue to act like a child in that one as I don't want to be involved in mucking up the thread as you have done quite well already and you seem to thrive on controversy.

Timing is not relevant. A "bump" is when someone brings a threat back to the top without adding anything of substance, simply to move it up.

If someone has something relevant to add to a thread, no matter how old or young, they should post in the thread.

Zombies to me are old threads that died a natural death. They can be brought back by adding something interesting or relevant.

I think when some people get cranky about it is when the zombie is brought back for no good reason, and the thread title makes it seem like a current event or topic. In that case, it's basically a troll.

So you pretty much just called everyone stupid around here for having COMMON SENSE knowledge to know that bumping a thread isn't continuing an ongoing thread that hasn't sat idle for a decent amount of time.

Some people here lack common sense it appears..........

Which is why I started the poll, to see where exactly everyone stands. and once it becomes clear that most people consider bumping a thread means posting in an idle thread for a decent amount of time, will you admit to being wrong? NO. Because you lack the MANpower to admit such things... so again...

Agreed. Now explain that to the guy who is defending his statement about bumping at any time vs old threads and how I need reading comprehension because he doesn't mean new threads but yet his own research has proven him wrong when he said bumping threads, by HIS OWN POSTED DEFINITION, its any thread anytime, that he blasted me for saying.

This is getting better all the time!!!!!! The hypocrisy. the double standards. I see he liked your post too. Wonder if he understands that he just contradicted himself. LMAO.

COMMON SENSE would be to let it go and not try and make an issue that isn't an issue out of something. You do it better than anyone. As for an apology, I apologize for not keeping you on ignore. It is now remedied.

Idiots pulling threads are 2-5 year old or even more is what you said... quoted above.

I said so because someone bumps a thread(all bumps are of old threads or its not really a bump), but I will clarify... you are saying anyone that bumps an old, 2-5 year old thread is an idiot? Cause that IS what you said. No misscharacterizing here.

Then you deny what you said and state you said what I quoted????

I never said you said people are idiots for anything and everything. Why or how did you get that? I said people who bump posts are idiots. How do you get anything and everything???

Why cant you just say....

"You know, Maybe I shouldn't have called anyone an idiot. Maybe I find them annoying, but I don't know if they are idiots or not."

Pretty much my whole point. HAHAHAHA

WAaaaaAAAHHHH

I simply cannot admit to doing wrong, so I will put people on ignore for being right.

I love this place and all its members. Even the ones lacking a 52 card deck in their head. :)

You cant top the things people say and do in here. :)

Oh you mean the one you entered a conversation on simply to change someones post with a FTFY to attack Trump and then deny it afterwards? You mean mucking up the thread like that?????????

Cause umm... Sir? That's what YOU did. NOT me. I simply observed it and commented on it. But yet again deflection and lack of accountability by you.

HAHA
