such as a crack of a bat hitting a baseball or when a golf club strikes a golf ball off of a tee off? Maybe it's when a hockey stick strikes a puck during a slap shot or when a basketball hits all net and nothing else?:devilwink:

"It's a GREAT day to be a Blazer!!"

As a former baseball player nothing sweeter than the sweet spot of the bat getting ahold of the ball. Especially when you're using wood.

I love the squeaks of hard cuts to the basket

I used to hate the sound of the bat splitting in half when I hit the ball. Half the bat would go flying toward the dugout and they'd duck. The batter on deck would hit the dirt.

The crowd would laugh that I was holding the bat wrong. What the hell? You're not supposed to face the seal on the bat toward the pitcher.

The (wood) bat hitting the ball- hard. As the saying goes, 'it's a round ball, a round bat and the object is to hit it squarely.'

The sound of a female tennis player moaning from a 100mph serve.

PS: You and I attended this game....back in the day! :irock:

1979. Throwing it nonstop from deep outfield to home was only a few years old. They didn't do that in the 60s.

The Schonz with a hearty "Rip City" close behind the all net sound.

The intake of breath 20,000 people do when their team's best player hits a game winning shot, right before the cheers begin.

I still have that 75th All Star game program and ticket stub. Remember Kingman knocking baseballs off the back wall of the Kingdome during batting practice?

The noise the kid makes after he takes the candy and you close the van door.

That was a lot of fun. It'll probably the only A-S game I ever end up seeing live.

This. Though beyond that, Gary Glitter's "Hey" when the Blazers are rollin'. I also have flashbacks to The Schonz and his "lickety brindle up the middle" and all sorts of other Schonz moments from my childhood.

I want to eat schonz's jock strap

I have a few

Puck hitting the pipe
Birds chirping on golf telecast (piped in or not) when a player is standing over a putt
Foot connecting to head in MMA
Jim Cornelison National Anthem at a Blackhawks game

A squarely crushed baseball.

My favorite sound is the smell of the popcorn.

Yeah I love watching those parts in slow motion when the ball is just released from the players hand as the buzzer goes off and is high in the air with the coaches, every fan and every player standing and watching to see what happens then the ball goes right through the hoop!

That shot Roy hit over Houston was great. That might be more a sight than a sound but those moments are awesome!

For me it was the lob from Dre to Batum vs San Antonio.... though it's probably not true, I remember that it was dead silent, then the gasp, and then the ROAR!
