The Red Sox are rated just below the Dodgers as favs to win the 2015 WS...am I missing something?

RSN has infiltrated just about every sports related venue and promoting an advocacy agenda. It all ties back to new media. There's a generation that can't discern the difference between Facebook and reality.....oh and that generation has 1/3 of the world's billionaires, more than half of the 100millionaires.

Objectivism has been replaced by subjectivism.

...I gotta believe that the Sox being ranked as a favorite is some kind of typo or something.

Maybe they're expecting that quirky Redsox pattern to continue.
2012 last place
2013 WS
2014 last place
2015 .....

They could ask: Which Sox will win more games, Red or White?

Yeah so that means we've also got to expect the Giants to suck in 2015,

2009 = No playoffs
2010 = WS
2011 = No playoffs
2012 = WS
2013 = No playoffs
2014 = WS
2015 = ?

I wonder who paid those bookies to put the Bosox as favorites. Even tho' they went from worst to 1st, and won a Series, I don't see that happening this year, not with the lack of pitching they have now. And, Yep, they sure as hell needed Lester back, and fkd that one up, before they traded him away.

Now i hear Cespedes is on the trading block....

...^^^ Matts, I have never drank the Cespedes kool-aid...he's not a great hitter for a corner OFer...and yeah, he made a great highlight reel throw last year but overall, I'm not that impressed with his defense.

...he's also only under contract for 2015...so he's a one year rental. I don't see him bringing that much in a trade.

After sobering up, from that Kool Aid, I began to study Yoenis stats. I found he is at best a medicore .250 hitter. With RISP, his avg. picked up, yet that was about it.

I no longer drink from the well of Cespedes PR bullshit.

IMO, any hitter who plays in Fenway should have at least an .050 better B'avg, than any other park. Cespedes hit only .263 in Fenway, which doesn't say much for his hitting, in a hitters park.

So NO MORE KOOL AID for me neither......I'm hard headed, it took me a bit to long to rehabilitate with Kool Aide Anonymous KAA, from that Electric Acid Kool Aide.....:lol: :koolaid::koolaid::smiley-pat:

any team over trading or paying for him is a Fool. I think the Bosox figured that much out, Yoenis was NOT going to be a key ingredient on a winning team. I admire his arm strength, but that is all.....such alone doth not a baseball player make....!

...they're now talking about a trade involving Cespedes for Rick Porcello...why would Detroit make that trade unless they're sure they're bringing Scherzer back?

IMO, that trade would make no sense at all, if Max is not coming back, this will decimate their rotation. For a Team that regrets letting Doug Fister go, they could of used Fister's arm last year, when Anibal Sanchez played hooky from having to pitch. Another hold out Sanchez is, yet he has good potential, tho' what he showed me last year, when his services were needed in the Playoffs, he wasn't available. One who does not step up to the rubber, I'd off in a NY minute.

Let Sanchez go, hang on to Porcello, and wish like hell, they had Fister back.

But as you pointed out, this trade would make no sense at all if Max is NOT coming back...!

The betting site must have good stats that idiots in NE bet a lot.

:rotfl: So all those many Work Trips to Bean Town, have not had a negative impact on you....meaning your still not a Boston Fan in any sport..... I don't think anyone here is either....

I did have a distant cousin play for the Bruins in the 70s-80s, Don Marcotte, yet I still despise the Bruins as much as the Patsies, Bosox, hell even their Harvard Olympic rowing team....et al.

Nah....between the "Let's go Yankees" chant and mimicking the David Tyree top of the helmet catch, I was able to control the beaners.

Don't stone me but I've been a Celtic fan for most of my life.
