Oh well. Hopefuly with the season starting up the board will regain that traction.

I never thought badly of Rick I thought he was a very good poster and hope he would reconsider coming back. Like I said outside of our social belief differences I liked Rick.
 
Cy has put it best. Weak and poorly handled.
 
Maybe Denny could chalk it all up to the mad cow. Yeah I read his blog, creative guy.

And here I thought we were best friends. Always good to have you on board Rusty, especially with all the dynamic & in-sightful threads you create. Not to mention all the in depth and intelligent responses you give to all the posts. Just don't know what ANY sports board would be without you. GO YANKEES!
 
The strength of any forum like this is different opinions which stimulate interaction and even sometimes consensus. Glad to see you back Rick, I think its great that you and Denny were able to work out the issues. I know that this site is better for having you and everyone else posting.

Well said major. Welcome back Rick. Glad you and Denny were able to work things out. I like this and our ranger board a lot and post as much as I can. I also belong to a terrific Giants board called big blue huddle. One thing I like about that one and maybe our moderators can look at going forward here is when a topic comes up from time to time whether to do with giants or totally different topic where posters opinions after being expressed back and forth and gets to the beating the dead horse stage a lock is put on the thread effectively ending it and move on to other topics before the raw feelings and hard words take over and thread totally disintegrates. Even though this is a yankee board I don't mind from time to time another local team or sports topic being discussed as this is in the large picture a sports board. I hope going forward we can get away from the political and societal topics that occur on this board from time to time as these are the ones that generally disintegrate into everything no one wants to read or discuss. That being said glad everyone is back in the good graces and look forward to the yankees kicking some ass this season.

Hey as a Giant fan, I'm going to check that out, thanks mrmel. And your right, the lesson to be considered here is O/T and what threshold to pain can it cause.

Major, you will love it. My tag on the big blue huddle board is section101steve. It even has a ranger and a yankee thread that just gets continuously added onto all season.

C'mon MB - are you really saying that the quality and content of posting on reddit is that bad? You post there - if you feel that way - why do you post there? The Yankee reddit board has been of pretty high quality when it comes to content, and yea - there are few whack jobs, but it is far better than the dying days of the ESPN board, and sadly this one (for now anyway). As for rick - he's always been a good poster, who generally stays on point. As for the "other banned" guy - many of us know he whined to the ESPN mods incessantly, got people banned for no reasons, changed his posts when the position he took proved out to be wrong, argued out of both ends of his ass, and was always the first to crack when some had the temerity to call him out on his BS. I know that was accepted by many here, as you put it, - "standing on his own merit". Never saw that much merit at all.
 
Wow...do you guys really take your post-life this fucking seriously? Good lord, if any of you guys got your feathers ruffled by 59, its damn good you weren't on ESPN boards during 98 to 01. There was a guy named Yankees again that had a scalp collection so broad, he likely was responsible for multiple suicides.

Its a cheap shot to flame a guy that can't come on and defend himself...I call balls and strikes as I see 'em.

Every board has there malcontents and posters that just plain piss you off, As far as the Reddit board the format is still a little confusing & that "Are you human puzzle" for EVERY thread drives me up the damn wall. And with the exception of guys like BSS, Bersserk, ricky-spireal & one or two others there are posters there that are pretty good guys & go way back with me from the ESPN boards and I'll still be posting there from time to time. With that said, its good to be back here & I just enjoy the format much better & its a lot easier to follow. As far as my long time posting pal 59, the one word I can use to discribe him is passionate & he & I have disagreed many times over the years but I've never had a problem with him. But then again, I'm just one helleva guy. Anyway, I didn't mean to turn this into a sermon. Thanks for the kind words Mike & I hope to see more of you here as we get into the season. If not, I'll see you elsewhere.

I think Messiah is the MOD of this board, Hammer of the Rangers board & I was the MOD for the Celtics board.
 
The famous Dump who shockingly Denny has locked horns with mods the Rangers board.
