I've mentioned in other threads how I think Luka/Porzingis are going to be an amazing pairing. I'm really interested to see how Morant and JJJ fit together. Lowe/Woj were just talking about Markkanen and the Bulls, and I think there's a chance that core could actually be pretty good if they stay healthy. And of course Lonzo/Zion are the media darlings, but legitimately have a chance to do some special things.

What are the players, pairings, storylines, etc on teams outside of Portland that most pique your interest this coming season?

- Waiting for Russ/Harden experiment to crash and burn.
- Utah hype train will not be justified.
- Rubio is gonna help Phoenix immensely as a P&R initiator for Ayton and letting Booker off the ball.
- Ex-Blazers, in particular Harkless and Layman(who was the one guy I felt we should have kept).
- Lebron is gonna win MVP this year. Mark it down.

Phoenix is a good call. I'm really interested to see how the Rubio/Booker backcourt meshes. Booker has really seemed to respond well to being given increased offense-running responsibilities over the past couple years (basically doubled his assist rate from 2 years ago). How will it affect him to cede most of that to a more experienced/natural floor general?

I'm interested in Orlanda for some weird reason, Aminu in a new place, but they have like 12 PF's and I like some of their players. I think they'll be interesting (probably not good), but interesting.
I love Fox / Heild combo in Sac-Town I hope this is the year they make the playoffs so I can prove someone wrong. :)

I'll be watching Zion. The Pelicans won't be very good, but Zion is worth the price of admission by himself. We haven't seen anything like him before.

Philly, of course. Memphis (because of Morant mostly). New Orleans is definitely worth a look. Charlotte just because it'll be a car wreck.

Why won’t the Pelicans be very good? Very talented roster.

Clippers
Many have them picked to win the west so Im going to be interested in watching how they gel?

Kinda funny how former Blazers are clustered.

ATL has ET and Crabbe
DEN has Plumlee and Barton
MIL has Pat C, Wes, and Rolo
SAS has Aldridge and Patty
Minny has Napier, Noah, Layman, Vanterpool

Indiana has Pritchard/Buchanan/Born and Nate
