quick question since this seems like the right place, on surveys and college stuff it asks what are you and blah blah, anyways my 8th grade guiandce counsler told me to put causassion, (i always put other) my question is because colleges have to take a certain number of each ethnicity, do u think i;d have a easier chance if i put other or african american (egypts in africa)

Why would your counselor tell you to put caucasion if your Egyptian?

Anyway, usually (well at least the collegese I applied to) had African-American/Negro as a choice. They options were connected. I don't know any Egyptians who are referred to as Negroes, so go figure.

yes idk why she just told me too. anyways either way i dont think id be lieing, cause egypt in africa so technically i am african american, other cause egypts not there i dont put caucassion even though im told too

I'm not sure it is, but I don't think it could be true if there are colleges like FAMU that are prodiminately black.

Anyway I'm a mixed. Dad is black, moms is half white/half Indonessian, word to Barack Obama. But besides my hair I don't really look white or Indonessian.
