What shooters are left? (1 Viewer)

Our team's identity has changed because of losing Wes and LA (probably). We're much more slashing, rolling, and post-up than mid-to-long distance shooting now.

Re-fucking-build. No way i want to add vets. Hope you hit a home run with guys like Vonleh

definitely, I think we're a running team which is why I think Frazier actually gets a few minutes.

As is, this roster looks like a 30-35 win machine next year. Not quite suited to tanking for a rebuild. If we can sign a couple more value deals we might be able to get in on the inevitable sign and trade frenzy that is about to happen in thee wake of all these major moves across the league. Nene would be a decent grab for next to nothing and his scoring and passing could keep us in the hunt for the 8th seed. Cap space doesn't do you a whole lot of good when it rains 250 days out of the year and your in a small market (still a thing). When you have one star, the best way to rebuild is usually to trade several good players for a great one that is in the wrong situation and then fill in the holes later. Faried is supposed to be available and is on a reasonable contract too.

I think we have enough power forwards for now, backup PG and SF or an SG updgade would be nice, or combine some of these value contracts for an upgrade at SG

Clippers are desperate, think they'd give up J.J.? Hell, at this point I'd take Lance

Now that Wes and Batum are gone, we need some legit shooters. So who's out there?

Mags, WTF are you talking about? We're not going to be competitive next year. Let's see what we have on our bench.

We should hold tryouts, winner gets a place on the summer league team.

You still need to find shooters. Can't field a team without players that make you one dimensional.

Gerald Green - Could play SG/SF
Mo Williams - would make more sense to start CJ and bring Mo and Hendo off the bench.
Lillard / Williams
McCollum / Henderson
Aminu / Green
Leonard / Davis
Plumlee / Kaman
There's definitely enough shooters there.

That list ain't bad. It's not like we are trying to win a title, but Dame would be miserable if he didn't have any. Gotta make our star happy

We are 2 solid shooters/players away from a rosy 42-45 win outlook and we have mad cap space. I personally think tanking is overrated, and that the Houston, "lets roll with the beard and wheel and deal until it works" method is pretty sound. Quite frankly, Dwight Howard doesn't effect that team as much as people think. God I miss Trader Jack... He'd agree with me

You mean BOB?

Yes I did, good catch...(Watched the Bad Boys documentary a week ago....)

Yes you can. You just lose...a lot.

Mags, we're going to lose 50+ games this season. Accept it. It would be stupid and irresponsible for the future of this team to be competitive.

Dame would never let that happen. Sorry

A problem with "shooters" is that a lot of times they can't do much else. But yeah...James Jones and Luke Babbit are out there.

Ugh... Luke Babbit again? Let's just sign B-Easy and be done with it. But seriously, Dorell Wright, Omri Casspi, Chris Copeland, there are options.

J-Rich!!!

I'm ok leaving a roster spot or two open. After signing Pat we only have 3 spots available right now but $28 million of cap room. Pat and Crabbe are great shooters so we're not as desperate there as it might appear. Hell Pat could become our starting SG. 4 year college guy. If undrafted Dellevadova a few months later can start in the finals its certainly plausible.

If we have spots available all the young undrafted rookies and best NBADL players will want to play here. Seems possible we get lucky and find a gem in the rough with one of them.

Phily-West baby! That's a pretty good worst case scenario though, truth be told

and if there isn't anything left we like for the price or we can't get at this time in a trade, it's a good idea to keep some capspace for trades later this yr or at the deadline next
