What should the Blazers do at the deadline (or before). Should they trade one of Hood, Collins, Simons, or Trent...or more than one of them? Wait for a buyout and sign Aldridge. Trade for Tucker? Trade for someone else. Sign Cousins? Sign someone else? Do nothing?

I'm pretty sure Rodney Hood and Zach Collins would be on the block for contract reasons and Trent would be a sell high candidate on the market...I'd keep Simons around on the cheap and avoid paying big bucks to Trent...we need an Andre Miller type backup pt guard and a 3 and D wing more than anything with Nurk and Harry coming back. I read today that Carmelo is generating some interest around the league and in the running for the 6man award this season

Id package Nurk & CJ for a scoring wing 3/4 and a younger more legit 5. Maybe DJ for a bonified legit PG.
If we could get a Chris Middleton that would work.

no trade Cj eh?
I chose lma. Time heals and as long as long as he understands (i believe he will) that he is a role player ala mellow. No starting spot, no guaranteed anything. I think we will see a new lma mentality wise. Why? Dame.

but hey i gotta ask. Why yous tryin to confuse me? Elicidide what? Could you please expand on what that means exactly please??

Just trade Lillard. In another couple years his value might start to go down a bit.

Nobody should be untouchable for the right deal!

9 years ago, just before the deadline, the Blazers didn't have a GM, they fired the coach, and they traded for the pick that netted Lillard. Blazers should do something like that again

Trade for a two way all-star who is above average height or add a legit wing on a good contract we can keep long term.

No more giving up draft picks for average players. 1 all-star and 10 average players instead of 9 won't make a significant difference.

Neil's just gonna say how adding CJ and Nurk is like making a big deadline deal and not do anything.

"Look, at the end of the day, we were a team playing above .500, and went out and added a starting SG and a starting C. No other contending team can say they did the same. We were always open to listening, but it had to make sense for both teams."

Then you wouldn't be to upset if he traded Dame because someone offered him a mega deal?
Outside of CJ & Dame we just wouldn't be able to rock the world with a trade for equal value coming back.

huh? I dunno how you get that out of what I posted. I'd be pissed if he moved Dame.

Idk but by trading multiple firsts Olshey went all in. Can’t half ass it now. If Simons can land you an immediate rotation player you gotta do it. Hood pretty much has to be traded for something as well, especially since Nas needs minutes. His contract should be attractive to any team trying to get off some long term money.

I bet we don’t have Nurk back by the deadline. But other than that it’s spot on.

I don't think Cousins, Tucker or LMA make us appreciably better. I like the Cleveland Indian philosophy of only adding guys who can help this year and years ahead. I do think that Trent has to go while he has some value. Not sure if Anf has any value. Hood can be used as salary filler and we won't miss him.
