Goal One: Make it to the second round.

So, yeah, every team wants to win a title each year, but what are reasonable goals that would make this season a success in your eyes?
...

HCA in the 1st round, making it to the 2nd round, at least giving a good fight in that series

#1 - Trade Turner
#2 - Devel0p Collins/Biggie
#3 - Trade Vonleh

I don't know if this is a shot at the current bigs on the Blazer's roster or not but...
I think soon as Collins was drafted he became the second best rim defender Portland has.
Therefore I don't see him not contributing to start the season.
He'll be in foul trouble, but that's okay. Not looking for big minutes out of him. Just spell Nurk.
Throw Collins into the game for 10 minutes a night and let him use his fouls. That's how you learn.

Edit: Not right away necessarily, but at least after the start of the year.

Am I alone in not giving a shit about all-stars? The game is stupid and I'd prefer our players to rest. Plus it seems to motivate Dame every time he gets left off. Shoot for end-of-year all-NBA teams if you care about awards.
Right there with ya! I LOATHE all-star everything. It's for 8-12 year olds.

Pretty much this.
Kid averaged 2 blocks and 2 steals in 3 games. Really it's higher than that because he played what.. 2 minutes in the 3rd game? So his averages are higher.
People are freaking out that he did so poorly on offense, which he did. But completely ignoring his defensive impact he could potentially have.

To compete....
Out hustle the opposing squad every night......

does it matter though? Kid will play as much as Layman did last season right?

Doubtful, as I said before. His one quality skill in SL was shot blocking. If he brings that to camp, he'll get minutes behind Nurk.
As outside of Nurk, Portland has zero shot blocking from any other big on the roster.

Do you think 20-year old Zach Collins will block more shots as a rookie (38) than 20-year old Meyers Leonard?

BNM

Find the next "Trader Bob" to assemble a competitive team. Lets face it, the Jail Blazers were only at fault by being ahead of their time. In today's NBA, they would be rock stars.

I think so.
But there are so many factors.
One of which cannot be ignored. Health.
Guy played in two SL games and got a thigh bruise(legit injury) or was it a calf? anyway he played in two games and missed time. He better stay healthy.
