Your thread was a good one and reiterated our need to keep the threads from being personal in here in a negative way. Public figures or unidentified figures are fair game and Presidents have been denigrated since the inception of our first President.
Identifying someone in here by moniker or otherwise does not contribute to any group discussion. Now, we all have tendencies to want to do this and I think a wakeup call such as Sly made and you reiterated is vitally important from time to time.
I support your topic post.

I've got my stores of bottled water, canned food and plenty of toilet paper. I've also got my loaded shotgun and hunting rifle.
By the way, anyone interested in relieving me of my vast stores of critical items including hand sanitizer, can find me living at Sly's house. Just come there loaded for bear.

IMO, as long as TV media and social media have agenda's and allegiance and lobbyist are aggressive, I expect even more in your face polarization. Even after overcoming dramatic events. The lag time for extreme response one way or the other is so much quicker, and REPETITIVE, thus reaction is also. Getting away from a two party dominance with more independents/libertarians or whatever is the only way I see more of a blended watered down polarization. Rather than direct current induce alternating current.

I have been in favor of a 3-5 party system for years. The Libertarians' had their first legit chance to wake the system in 016 but their candidate, Johnson, didn't cut the cake. The process is so expensive, it's futile! Bloomberg found out. He wasn't much of a leader image to believe in. I think my Governor; Phil Murphy, has what we need.

I like it. I considered a picture of me and my wife in a trip to Hawaii as my avatar. It was one of the many happy times I have with my wife. If that's sappy then I want to see more sappiness.

The R0 on nastiness is well above 2; that pandemic shows no sign of stopping. And likely social distancing will only increase it.

Who is HPC? I know HCP, we get along OK. There is H.C. whose comments on Biden v Bernie thread were definitely reportable but I didn't bother. I have more important things to worry about.

You know, without CJ and Stotts to bash, I guess a certain poster had to find someone(s) else. Elizabeth Warren, Hillary Clinton, and me. I'm in illustrious company.

Last few days? Ive seen it for a couple year.s I even have a thread where you participated in ,but only provided your viewpoint and basically agreed with a few others that if others dont agree with you they are wrong, and others chimed in sayin' we were idiots and then that same dude said anyone who supports Trump should get the virus. You are only noticing nastiness in the last few days?????

Just saying that some of us have seen this nastiness going on for a long while now.

Takes two to make up. You should address that with HCP, not Crandc. I know from first hand experience, that burying the hatchet with him is not easy. ;)
