I have no issue with a reliever if it moves Warren back to the rotation. That would actually be a move that makes sense at this point.
Didn't think about that aspect of it... but I don't think Warren is enough along in the starting rotation... another is needed

Severino time if you ask me. He's now 7-0 with a 1.91 era in AAA. Pointless to keep him down there. What's the worst that happens? He gets hit? So what if it's a five or six inning limit. It's better than CC and his nonsense.

If that's the plan, then why isn't he already up?

How old is this kid servino, and how many years a pro,

What does that have to do with anything? How old were you when you hit the majors & how much pro experience did you have at the time?

...according to him, the coach is responsible for everything that happens on the field and is responsible for the players' performance...so I guess using that premise, we can only assume that it was his coach who kept him from the HOF instead of his degree of talent, or lack thereof.

Turning an innocent question into a personal attack, what a surprise!

In all fairness I really don't see the need to turn a thread into a ditch based on an age question. He's 21 and been in the organization since 18.

Thread is headed towards getting locked folks. Keep it up.

...it wasn't a personal attack so stop crying...it was a factual observation based on things you've actually said.

...I merely applied your statements and your logic.

i dont get it, some of you blame cashman for the players the team has, but you dont blame girardi for the performances of the player? very confused!

No need to be confused. Granted a manager tries to make his
players perform at their optimum. The older players, we have
observed, need days off in order to perform; there are several
players who have performed well below average, and it is
apparent that these players are not being moved.......this is not
Girardi's job. I believe the GM must improve the team.
HE HAS NOT IMPROVED THE TEAM.

How long will Girardi be able to help the likes
of a Stephen Drew, a Brendan Ryan, a Garrett Jones,
a CC Sabathia? These players are killing the team's
chances to progress.

Since Cash man made no moves says volumes that
"his plan" is to keep moving pieces within the organization
and not pull the trigger for outside help.

Will this team make the playoffs with all the ? marks
on this Yankee team?
If they don't.....how does Cash man survive again?

^^^this was the point I was trying to make...the coach can only do so much with the talent he is given...and Cashman is solely responsible for the current roster.

...you can't polish a turd.

Drop the ball like Cashman.......ha ha ha

...mess, I really cannot believe he stood pat...the Jays, O's, Astros, Giants, Dodgers, Royals, and Rangers, all got better.

...I don't have a "warm and fuzzy" feeling going forward this year. Has the goal suddenly gone from winning it all to simply being content with winning the division?

Caged, the coach is responsible for the players performance , now there has to be an understanding of this statement, can he control what a player does on the field , absolutely not, but Girardi is under a lot more pressure because of
the salaries some of the players are making.

Cashman can only make a move with the owners consent, do we know what goes on behind the scenes, absolutely not, but common sense should tell us that he is playing with someone else's money, and there has to be limitations, if no move was made, it's because ownership feels the Yankees have enough, I believe this team healthy , does have enough .

I dont get it. Not even something minor.

was he drafted, what round, how much money, thanks?

...meh, I don't see a problem really.

...I mean a simple Google search will easily answer the questions that were posed...but whatever.

i see servino is to start vs sox says cashman, so there you go , no significant move was necessary cause they have enough in org.

I saw nothing in this thread that was out of line. Pasta never answered my simple question & Severino has been called up so its all good in Yankee land.
