Sorry blame your pal pasta.Hello ESPN all over again.
Hello ESPN all over again.
no problem rick, i will leave this board voluntarily, just know this, like you said it ain't about hatin the man as to why YOU yourself posted, "dump" girardi.
i put facts on here to support my beliefs from experience, its not about hate, hijacking, or anything else!
enjoy all the redundant hate posts about cashman, and the failed offense by every single player, bad contracts, and the pitchers who could not pass the 6th inning, day offs, no creativity to try and produce runs, cause all of this and more was quite prevalent with a teams with a 200mill+ payroll.
take care, health to your family!
no problem rick, i will leave this board voluntarily,...
...that's up to you...you've left before only to return...so whatever. Evidently, it seems that there are people on this board that need to grow a thicker skin.
i put facts on here to support my beliefs from experience,...
...no you don't. Your disdain for Girardi is based on opinion, not facts. Your biased and mindless rants are never ending and the subject matter is always the same...you act as if the guy knocked up your sister or something.
Leaving is your choice & yes I did say dump Girardi & yes I also said that I'm not a fan of the guy but where we differ is that I make my point & move on, I don't beat it to death. I don't have to air my feelings about the man in every post & thread for the others here to know how I feel about the guy. And the difference with Cashman IMO is that its a unanimous dislike for the job he's doing.
You be well, hope to see you back under better conditions.
We all should agree on completely cleaning house:
New ownership, new GM, new Mgr. As my mind is being controlled the phrase....we can't fire the players keeping popping up, lol!
Steins are selling until they can get maximum dollar, and that won't happen until ARod is gone. So without new ownership, the same cast of characters are lashed to the mast of this foundering Yankee clipper as we drift aimlessly asea for the next 2 years. I think it's telling that Cashman got tied up to the same length of time as this team is crippled with horrendous contracts. I don't see him staying beyond that, nor will Girardi. We've got 2 more years of status quo unless by some miracle Cashman actually learns how to make deals. I'm not holding my breath.
Hey pasta, I think the steins have given cashman a bank account and budget and from there they don't care what he does. I've seen nothing that tells me the sons of the boss care an iota about baseball transactions....just the dollars. Now from your experiences, owners might have been more hands on, but I don't see evidence that Cashman has his hands tied beyond the pocketbook.
Simple social skills would be a good start. Insulting people's intelligence, integrity and baseball knowledge because after all you played the game was never a good start.
this is the furthest thing from the truth, we go back along ways mess, why are you doing this?
i have commended everyone on here for their knowledge of the history of this great game, that i believe has been tarnished, and the stats that are put on here, the effort that went into it should be commended, and it properly went to those individuals that posted them, but never did i intentionally attack another for any reason, like totes said it takes 2 to argue, and a mature individual to accept they maybe wrong. do 2 wrongs make it right, absolutley not.
If we want to discuss GMs/Cashman.....
As we speak....Dombrowski has left the Tigers a mess.
Sometimes alot of money can be "dangerous". Lmao
The boss had the deputy on of making ball players understand that being a Yankee was an exceptional honor, and that when an exceptional franchise went after a player its because they are the best and they are winners. This is what this franchise lacks.
Girardi stillmpreaches the mantra, but mgmt doesn't back these ideals...its obvious the team is about the bottom line. Girardi, like Torre were great handlers of the mystique and exceptionalism. They are stewards, not managers in the sense you talk about. Cashman is more finance than baseball...he was marginal when handed the tools. When you look at all the special asst they gave him, these were all well respected baseball first people.
IMO, this team needs a top down rebuilding.
And we need to revisit this beaten to death topic again why? Sadly, nothing seems like it will change here.
Mess....not all believe Cashman is a bad GM and some...including me believe he has done well juggling big long term contracts AND simultaneously infusing good young minor league talent which has already contributed to the big club.
I didn't hear or see too many complain about those big contracts which helped win a WS in 2009. We all have opinions, and we're all entitled to them, and I believe,(my opinion) Cashman has not done a bad job under the circumstances....we can't have it both ways......spend alot of money sometimes....win a championship (2009).....and deal with it. Stop with the hypocrisy.... Some of us have memories....and I am not referring to you Mess....lol
When you see and read some posters bragging about Dombrowski fleecing Cashman- I think it's fair to bring up CURRENT comparisons with other GMs since it seems to be generally accepted by the large majority that Cashman is a BAD GM.....some of us, maybe a couple of us don't agree.
In the context of the GENERAL opinion of this board, Dombrowski has "owned" Cashman in HEAD to HEAD trades.
He (Dombr) has won a couple dating back 18 or so years....and ....IMO....Cashman has won (so far), the LAST TWO if we look back at what each GM received DIRECTLY in return from the other for THEIR team.
Cashman won the the Grandy deal- imo- and Cashman has won the Didi deal....so far, IMO.
And Dombrowski has left behind a sh!t house in Detroit...thanks to HIM.
I just hope some on this board won't give him credit for the very good young talent ALREADY in Boston.....as I said, some of us have memories. Lol
What's good for the goose, is good for the gander.
