Why do we care?
The world doesn't think much of the US, period.

Florence Foster Jenkins!!!!!!!!! I don't care if Kingspeed was in it, he wasn't though.
It is hilarious, I wouldn't pay too much attention to reviewers who try to define what is and is not how a drama is supposed to go. Movie reviews generally blow anyway.Geez! I don't think I could sit though this in any case.

"For once, Meryl Streep doesn’t exactly help. Yes, within the choices she makes, she’s great. You can take any one minute from this film, and you’ll see Streep do something impressive — an unexpected line reading, a weird turn of mind, or a look or gesture that gets to the heart of the character. But these moments of illumination are in service of a vision of Florence that’s undynamic, that’s quirky and even bathetic. She’s not someone you admire, but rather someone you pity, and who makes you uncomfortable."
"The movie adheres to the true story, that Florence had syphilis (from her first husband) and couldn’t quite hear herself as a result of her disease. Streep plays that literally, that the character’s brain is in disarray, which robs the film of its center and kills most of the possibility for laughter, even though the movie begs for laughs. At times, Streep herself seems disconnected from the role, as though, when it really comes down to it, Streep just can’t imagine being untalented. It’s too much of a leap for her."

I don't care one bit about any actor's political views. I don't care if Tom Cruise is a Scientologist or Mel Gibson is racist. I don't care what any of them say whether I agree with it or don't.I thought, Out of Africa was great when it came out. I probably couldn't sit through it today with both Redford and Streep in it.
They produce a product, no more no less.
True! But they can become a real distraction that fucks it up for me.
Couldn't agree more....it was a bible for how not to sail aloneRedford made the wrong side by making such a foolish sailing movie here a few years back. A damn disgrace to all competent sailors
interesting that Trump is followed by Juggernaut.....not what I really aspire to see in govt
and buy Marie Osmond recordings!Good news! You can still go to Ted Nugent concerts!
And see any of Scott Baio's major motion pictures.

Oh, the world loves Americans in general. But there is one American...Why do we care?
The world doesn't think much of the US, period.
Dionne Warwick dude....that's the version
Is that what they told you? That's a term of endearment there.

Is that what they told you?
#RastalivesmatterYou mean I should have deleted all the posts calling you that?
Sorry.
Kiwi.He did? Shit! Dumb friggin Aussie.
I'm sure people in Germany wish they'd had a snake oil salesmen instead of their Hillary.I'm loath to post in US of A political threads, but given this is about what the rest of the world thinks, I'll dip my toe in.
From the discussions I've had with people, the general consensus can be summarised as disbelief that you're all so stupid to be conned by an obvious snake oil salesman.
It's not about right versus left, it's amazement that any of you actually believe a word that comes out of his mouth.
Kiwi.
Rusty was born in New Zealand, but grew up, and lives in Australia.
When he does something positive, he's an Aussie; when he does something negative, he's a Kiwi.
