Trade Idea What trade packages would you consider fair for CJ?

I wouldn't trade CJ no matter what.
Hypothetically, only for very few players in the league, and I think CJ isn't just a tremendous player but also an excellent fit and personality

This season will be frustrating but I think we stay patient with Dame, CJ and Nurk (and 2 of our young PF's) and try again to land that elusive scoring SF. It is our ONLY chance.

I guess you only care about flashy plays and good highlight reels then. Not so much about a championship.

DEFEND. And play PG, while being long enough to guard wings.

I haven't seen him play. I am just looking at his poor shooting stats, which since he is very young I don't doubt they can improve. However we have seen numerous pg's who come into the league who can defend, but fizzle out because they can't shoot. And I can't help be a little skeptical since you are a little biased towards Euros. But I do know he was highly regarded before the draft.

I would certainly consider trading him to the Knicks for a package including Frank Ntilikina. Apparently this works.

You take Lee who is supposed to be a win now piece and you add Ntilikina who is a win in 3 years piece. I don't find this package good at all. And if we are taking Ntilikina that is a pure playmaker then we have to trade Lillard or else we will underutilize Ntilikina.

Wasn't Meyers a 50-40-90 player his rookie season? If not, very close to it.

He was but he didn’t qualify to really be recognized because he was nowhere near the attempts.

Cj on the other hand for the type of shots and dribbling he does is really impressive to get near it.

Steve Nash, Larry Bird, Dirk, Curry are some players on the top of my head that I remember that have gotten 50-40-90

Ok but CJ is not in this club, not even close to be honest as it's quite a gap between 46% and 50%. He was at 48% last season, so didn't make it last season as well.

As for the efficiency talk someone can argue that Lillard and Cj had the same TS% last year. Being able to go so many times at the line as Lillard does is really important.

Or to put it another way: you get a solid SG for now and a player who could turn out to be better than CJ (and thus a steal). Think of him as like a throw-in high lottery pick. It's the only way you're going to get value for CJ, unless you trade for a player whom the other team knows is leaving in FA, and might therefore also leave us in FA.

ALSO: Lillard can be very effective off the ball playing alongside Ntilikina.

You know why CJ generally has better shooting numbers than Dame? Because teams don't double CJ, their best perimeter defender doesn't play CJ, he gets open shots because Dame is a threat to get into the paint and draw the defense in.

Props to CJ for finishing his end of the deal with good efficiency, but let's not act like we haven't seen him shit the bed for us when he has to run the offense. He is not Damian Lillard.

Why would Detroit do that? They wouldn't. A backcourt of Jackson and CJ would be defensively awful. And Harris alone right now is playing better than CJ.

I feel that SVG is not a huge fan of Tobias. I remember benching him last year for Leuer. Of course this year Harris has improved so it's probably not the case anymore. As for Bradley he will probably ask for the max so his contract will be kind of awful for the Pistons (and for us as well though).

With both Lillard & CJ signed through the 20-21 season.
Why this is a thread is still beyond my comprehension.
Ya'll have fun.
