for whatever reasons i have missed each of the POR/SA games this season until last night. i noticed a lot of banter going back and forth between Joel and Duncan, does anyone know what's up? do they have a history?

for some reason now im beginning to think the two got into some sort of altercation earlier this season. im just blanking...

I saw some respect there actually. Joel made a solid play and Duncan patted him on the chest.

I've read that Duncan and Joel are good friends, so I doubt there is any real tension.

From what I remember - these guys talk a lot and it sounds like it is mostly friendly. If memory serves - Duncan was the first one to tell Joel he broke his hand last year when he hit it on whatever it was.

Duncan seems like the kind of guy that appreciate professional play - and Joel is a model professional.

Yep. I'd like to think that Duncan appreciates how Przy approaches how he plays the game, and also how he approaches life off of the court. Kind of a "good guy" club for veteran Big Men. Or, they were talking about each other's Mommas. :dunno:

Duncan was the one who pitched Joel on coming to the Spurs when he was a FA. Damn, Joel would have been good on that team. Thanks for sticking around, Przy.

He's got a better chance of winning a ring with us

Joel believed in this franchise's future before many of us even did. He resigned before Roy and LMA had even played a game. He resigned to a team that won 21-games the previous season. Pretty incredible that he didn't go to San Antonio.

i recall SA was the other primary suitor for Joel and im pretty certain offered just a bit less than the Blazers did. at the time many of us were thinking it was too much for him, but very quickly realized that we got Joel at a pretty good rate.
