Not envious of any of them.

GSW is the only one that might be better than the Blazers next season.

Mem will be close with a talented young roster that has a bright future.

OKC has all those picks which is cool

Everyone else is well...eh
That wasn't the question though. It was... which Western team that was worse then the Blazers last season do you envy? Or, not just next year, but who's future is brighter? For me anyways, contending is what matters & while they might be better today Portland currently isn't a contender and their roster is aging. The 3 you mentioned could be, GSW sooner then the rest. I miss having hope for my rooting interest. My main hope is this is Neil's last year at the helm.

:dammit:

I still maintain they're going to have to unload most of those picks, and teams will know that so their value will plummet.

At least, that's what I tell myself.

Hey, Phil Knight! When you buy the team, save a billion to pry Sam Presti away from Oklahoma. (Sidenote: why the fuck does he stay in OKLAHOMA?)

I wish I knew Presti's endgame. By the time they're good SGA will be too old for the rest of the roster. And he really likes tall white guys with surprisingly great passing skills.

Shai is only 24. He has plenty of time.

On another note, if you were a Clipper fan who would you rather have Paul George or SGA? (and the 1st round picks he came with) Easy answer for me. The Clips fucked up.

Portland is the worst organization and in the worst spot imho

Jody won't be selling the team till probably sometime in the 2030's. They are going into a multi year Moda Center renovation process. The League still has a new TV deal to work out. Knight and some LA dude offered a low ball offer to dip their toes. in 5 to 6 years, the Blazers will be worth probably in the neighborhood of 4 billion. That's the only reason Knight and this other cat put in a bid. It's all about the Benjamins.

Plus with the Albina Vision Development, the Rose Quarter has potential to become a hot new neighborhood in the near future. The bad new is the freeway infrastructure in Portland is way outdated and will take billions to fix. And i'm not even talking about the I-5 bridge to Washington, that should have been done decades ago.
