I'm not convinced that Neil is done, but with the roster as it is right now, what would be your starting five and who would be your primary reserves?

I'm going pure youth movement.

Dame
Crabbe
Aminu
Vonleh
Davis

With

CJ
Leonard
Hendo
Plumlee
Harkless

Frazier can be the 3rd point guard, Pat can be our practice squad All-Star.

Dame
Crabbe
Aminu
Leonard
Plumlee

With Cj, harkless and vonleh getting most of the minutes off the bench

I can honestly see either Leonard or Vonleh starting. Don't see a problem with either choice, but I went with Vonleh because I think he has a better shot of being a really really good player.

Lillard (36) / Frazier
Henderson (26) / CJ (26) / Pat (8)
Aminu (26) / Crabbe (11) / Harkless (11)
Leonard (24) / Davis (18) / Vonleh (16)
Plumlee (24) / Kaman (14)

I think Leonard has earned his chance to show us what he has. I think he ends up surprising many of us and breaking out. I see vonleh, Leonard and plumlee playing most of the big man minutes. I just don't think ed Davis is a very good player. I think he can be a great fourth big, but I don't see him as a long term piece, so I'd limit his minutes

I just don't want to see Kaman anywhere near the court. We've got some young bigs that need burn.

Dame, Frazier
Hendo, CJ
Aminu, Crabbe, Harkless
Davis, Vonleh
Plumlee, Meyers, Kaman

CJ is 6th man. Crabbe is 7th. Offense is guard heavy points with the bigs cleaning up the garbage. with the reverse in the second unit (offense run through Vonleh and Meyers).

I think we have to start Meyers because are only other shooter in the starting lineup is Dame. Plus, he deserves to start. Start Plumlee and bring Davis off the bench.

Ed Davis is young, and IMO, a starter.

Maybe Leonard needs to play some C.

Doesn't matter who starts

The only player on the roster that's going to average more than 30mpg is Lillard

The rest will play about the same amount of minutes imo, especially the big guys. Whoever is playing better that game will get the minutes. As of right now Davis and Plumlee are the best big guys on the roster.

Have no idea yet. Want to wait till training camp comes around. Need to get a feel of who is killing it and who is set for the bench first.
I would like to see Leonard get some starting minutes though. I think its now or never for him as far as being a starter.

We are going to have so many guys that deserve some time, but aren't head-and-shoulders above the others, that we should do a Nate (or was that Mo Cheeks?) white/black squad deal.

barfo

Lillard(36)/Frazier(20)
CJ(32)/Harkless(8)/Cauvington
Crabbe(24)/Aminu(18)/Henderson(6)
Leonard(22)/Vonleh(20)
Davis(18)/Plumlee(20)/Orton(10)/Kaman(6)

training camp is going to be brutal. Fierce competition I think.

What's with all the Davis downer? He could be our second best player and one of our only ready now, two way players. Just cause he comes from purple and piss isn't his fault. The guy is young and quality. Way overlooked on this board.

I assume the people not including Henderson as the starter are assuming he's getting traded. He's the best 2 guard on the team.

I know we are youth movement right now, but Henderson might be the second best player on the roster. Easily the second most reliable.

CJ is better and Crabbe is close, and both of them have a much higher ceiling than 6 year vet GH.

CJ is a better scorer and shooter

Henderson is a better defender and more athletic (much more).

CJ isn't a starter in my mind, though. He's a short 2 guard and not exactly a good defender. The backup PG stuff is nonsense.

That's just it. I don't have a problem with him. I think he's going to be part of our rotation for sure, but I want to start developing guys that have a legit shot at being a part of this team long term.

If we want to win games:
Dame/Hendo/Aminu/Leonard/Plumlee, with CJ/Crabbe/Davis/Kaman as the bench.

If we want to play and develop the youth, Dame/Pat/Aminu/Leonard/Plumlee with Frazier/CJ/Montero/Vonleh/Davis as the bench.

Plumlee as the starting center? I respect his game. But why is it I have this feeling in the back of my mind like we are leaving Beavis and Butthead to close Burger World?

With Aminu in the starting lineup I think it's better to concentrate on offense from the SG spot. But most importantly, I'm looking at developing for the future. I don't know who is behind Aminu, and with Gerald's length, he might be the best option at bu SF. I used to like Henderson a lot, but he just never developed how I thought he would, but he's still certainly serviceable.

One thing this team is not doing is scoring a lot of points. Outside of dame, I hope everybody is ready for a lot of put backs.
