I would give Roy left nut . . . I know it will be painful, but it is a sacrafice I'm willing to make.

I don't want to commit blasphemy, but is Chris Paul really all that?
Yes, yes, I know, once in a generation stats, etc., but he does dominate the ball an awful lot, and I tend to think that's not that healthy for a team. The last time a ball-dominating little man won a title was Isiah's Pistons, was it not? And put Paul on a really good team (like the "Redeem Team") and he looks less useful. And the fact that Darren Collison is putting up huge numbers in NO's system says less about Collison and more about the system, I think.
By comparison, I used to be a huge Rajon Rondo fan. But as he gets better (more Paul-like, if you will), the Celtics seem to be shrinking. He is now capable of taking over entire games by himself, as much as somebody 6' can. And they're sucking pretty bad.
I still prefer Deron Williams. I did on draft day 2006, and every other year, I look pretty much right. Now, I'd be excited if the Blazers did somehow land him. But then I was excited when they landed Damon, too.

1. You would have a point if Isiah never won a couple of championships. But he did. So did Dwayne Wade who dominates the ball as well.
2. So your blaming Rajon Rondo for the Celtics getting old and at the same time, getting rid of all the glue guys that helped them get there the first time?
3. I prefer Darrin Williams too. But Darrin Williams doesn't have an up and coming point guard making him possibly available.

a) Yes, Isiah Thomas won two championships. But that was 20 years ago, and the game has changed.
Anyone would be on the table, but it all depends. If they want Roy, then Oden and Aldridge and maybe Batum wouldn't be available in addition. If they want Aldridge, I'd definitely be willing to include Batum (and players like Bayless and Fernandez). But then not Oden or Roy.
Exactly.
I would also worry about a Paul / Roy combo not being better than the sum of the parts.
Do you remember the all star game a few years back, Roys first all star game, where Roy and Paul were the backups? The West was down huge and then Roy and Paul came in, and took over that game, and led a comeback. If you don't, I highly recommend you go back and watch it if it is up somewhere.
I did see it at the time. It was fun to watch.
As I said, I worry about the pair up. Name the last duo of All-NBA caliber guards to pair up and then be successful for multiple years.
Billups and Hamilton come to mind, but of course, they developed into all-star guards together. When was the last time two all-star caliber guards were thrust together period?
Hornacek + Stockton in Utah?
Good call, and I would say that worked out quite well.
Not LaMarcus.
If you can't catch the sarcasm please slap yourself because you are a retard! [/David Spade]

What would you give up for Chris Paul?
My left nut and Martell Webster. Deal?
I would not trade Oden to get Paul, since IMHO one of the biggest reasons to get CP3 is to open up the dominance that could be Oden's offensive game. Also, having two all-star guards and LMA as your biggest "banger" seems to me to be a recipe for disaster.
I'd like not to give up Batum, also, but that's secondary.
Roy and some salary (Miller, Webster, LMA if we're getting a big contract back)? Probably.
