I got a middle-eastern/egyptian drum called a darabuka, the one i got is from alexandria in egypt and it looks amazing the design is like the ancient egyptian hyroglifics and it is ceramic and hand painted, i also got some books by Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, William Bouroghs and william Blake, and tickets to Falls music festival (mostly reggae roots kind of stuff), Big Day Out and the chilli peppers concert. i got my sisters some bracelets and stuff like that and my mum some lipstick and my dad a book.what did you guys give and receive.

I gave my mom some bubble bath / lotion / creme and stuff from The Body Shop. As a family, we gave my dad a new 30 inch plasma TV for his room. I gave my brother a sweater and a hat from American Eagle.

I havn't opened many presents yet, but so far my brother game me a Jason Richardson jersey. And my dad got me the cellphone I've been asking for. Havn't opened anything else yet though.

My new cellphone (kinda like the chocolate):

From my sister I got the Aladdin Special Edition DVD
From my brother I got a $5 gift card to Starbucks
from my aunt and cousins, I got $50
From my girlfriend I got $100 to Best Buy, $5 Circuit City, $40 Anchor Blue, Cologne, 24 season 5, and she made me a 5 foot long Batman pillow.

I never understood why people buy each other gift cards when they can just give you the money and let you do what ever you want with it. lol

All I got so far was a 12 pack from my boss.

Does Circuit city even sell anything for less than 5 dollars?

I doubt it. She got it when she bought 24 Season 5. It was a promotional thing. They were giving out $5 gift cards the first week it was available.

Polo from my sis
A dress shirt, a casual shirt, as well as a nice sweater from my parents
Shirts from my Aunt

Christmas this year has been kinda dull, busy and hectic at the same time. I'm horribly sick, my cousin who I always chill with around Christmas went to the States, most of my friends are out of the country, and I'm more busy worrying about University, finishing my volunteer hours, buying things I need and working.

The thing about having your birthday less than two weeks prior to Christmas is that you don't have much to ask for.

Anyways, I got a Polo sweater from my sister as well as DVD copies of The Office and a bunch of HQ movies I made her download for me with her uber internet speed.
Lacoste shoes from my mom
Watch + Money from my dad

I got plenty of money, which I'll probably end up spending on clothes before going back to school.

Don't meen to pry, but no parents Matt?

Sounds like you have that chick of your whipped. I've never been with a girl who'd spend well over $200 on me for X-Mas... or maybe all the women I've been seeing are just too skanky.

I didn't get anything but some money from some parents. They always send me stuff. All of my close friends know not to get eachother stuff. We've always just kind of shared the attitude that if you need to buy someone a gift to show them you care about them, then they're not really that close to you.

All I gave out this year personally were a bunch of giftcards.

That was just stuff I opened up on Christmas Eve. I get the stuff from my parents tomorrow morning.

She's a good woman, I love her. I spent well over $200 on her, as well. Been with her two years runnin' and haven't had a single problem.

Darabukas are awesome, I played them for friends of mine during their shows at small venues in the city. Have a blast.

From my mom I got an authentic Buffalo Sabres navy home jersey, buffalo Sabres baseball style long sleeve shirt. I bought something for myself a while back Viktor & Rolf's first men's fragrance spray called "Antidote." I consider it as a Chirstmas gift from myself, hah. My fianc? bought me a custom designed wooden chess set. From her parents I have a new white winter hat, coal gloves and a black scarf. Also from her mother she bought both of us style matching bathroom sets (two different sized towels and hand cloth).

Good luck dude, reads out that you found yourself a great person to possibly spend your life with be it that you feel that way as does she. The best thing in a relationship I think is when you see the girl as your best friend aside from your lover and elsewise because that builds an even stronger bond between both individuals.

I got a dress shirt and a little money and well, that's pretty much it.

The excuse was:

"It's not even your Birthday - it's Jesus'!"

Hmm. I don't talk about every little things, but the coolest things:

xBox 360 (with hard drive and wireless controller) with NBA 2k7 and NFS: Most Wanted - from my dad.

Pink underwear with a monkey on it and a sentence on it: Have you seen my banana ?
biggrin.gif
:D - From my girlfriend.

O'Neill winter hat, gloves, Nike and AND1 socks and a lot of chocolate and candys - from my mother.

I got some money from the family, a few DVD's and so on. All my family have said "what can you get a guy who has everything?" which may be true. My girl brought me quite a few DVD's. Didn't know much else to buy me.

I brought my girl a diamond ring and my daughter some new clothes and toys to play with although she won't be able to use them for a year or two. Might as well get them in early

I actually had a text wishing my family and myself a good christmas from a mate of mine who is had an up and down year in Indiana. Which was abit of a surprise as I had lost his number and hadn't spoke in a while. Some old timers may know who I'm on about. We may even meet up as he will be in texas tomorrow. Granted It's in Houston but still not as far away as he normally Is.

Damn, forgot you were friends with him. Tell him to stop getting into trouble with the authorities. That incident outside of the nightclub was too much.

Got a Rocker video game chair from my parents, some random clothes, and my girlfriend made me a blanket, so not too shabby of a Xmas, considering I still haven't gotten what my girlfriends parents got me and still haven't gotten what my brother got me either.

I'd rather not give nor recieve any gift on Christmas because I really don't agree with how Christmas (and all holidays in general) has evolved in our modern times. However, I don't use this belief of mine as a pretext to not waste money. Further, to prevent myself from coming off as "cheap", I usually give out money to my companions and such (thus, I also recieved some useful discounts/electronic devices/etc. from my peers as thank you gifts). Sorry for the soliloquy.
