I worked with this incredible cheapskate, Brian, at Tektronix. He got his income tax refund and told us he had taken his family of a wife and two kids out for dinner. This sarcastic guy with a great sense of humor asked him if they had gone to McDonald's. Imagine our total surprise when Brian answered with a yes.

That's what I thought too. The only reason I could think of was that a lot of Nike employees have strictly moved to WFH and have decided they don't need to be close to the campus anymore. I have no idea about their policies though.

Total bullshit statistic, I live in Beaverton close to the library and it’s booming here in the last year or two. There’s tons of foot traffic every Friday and Saturday night, it’s not like Portland at all where it’s like a ghost town. Total role reversal since the pandemic started.

I was corrected multiple times already. It wasn't my statistic. My bad.
