But this shouldn’t impact anybody though right? All of downtown is a blaze or boarded up. Move along.

This just adds to the reason for me not to go downtown whenever I am in Portland. Its already pretty sketch, but the last few times, I've been out on the Eastside more. But places like Laundry or Saturday Market where I wanna go shop/hang, with the general sketchiness, its a bit discouraging.

Yeah man, driving up Sandy yesterday, was reminded how hard COVID was on small businesses. Hit em hard.

You been to the Midwest or south in the past 18 months? It’s BAD.

Just Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Wyoming.

I have no desire to visit larger US cities right now due to the crime and policies to let criminals thrive.

NY, SF, Chicago....hell, I even avoid most of LA these days because its too fucked up.....no thanks. Any place with Tent Cities, I'm not going to spend a lot of time or money in that area.

That’s that “grew up in the suburbs” mentality FAMS. Living that sheltered life….only come into the city for that culture….shopping, food. Then go hide behind your strip malls. Time to grow up son.

Yeah, I live in LA bro.

I travel a lot in these cities, but yeah, due to the current situation, its too fucked up.

Maybe either it’s not as bad as people on here think….. OR……. This rest of the country is even more fucked up than us but people on here just haven’t seen it with their own eyes to realize.

I'm more of the belief that every location has their good and bad aspects about them. I've posted a myriad of things in this thread, good, bad, and even parody.

We all know you love your hood, we get it.

Hmmmm. Just saw that with Starbucks stores unionizing nationwide…..
these two stores happened to be 2 of the 13 that voted to become unionized here in Portland. Headquarters announced increased wages and benefits are only being implemented at UNunionized stores. B91E0E4C-72B0-41BD-BF1F-52EE484CB966.jpeg

I don't see how it could be one of the greatest places in the world if 2 Starbucks locations are closing.

Oregon drastically expanded gun control starting in about 2015
- Instituted Red flag laws

- Universal background checks for ALL purchases, including private parties (no more gunshow loophole)

- Storage requirements - If not under your control guns must be stored in a safe or with a trigger lock

Zombieland Rules

#1: Cardio - When the virus struck, for obvious reasons, the first ones to go were the fatties.
