The weird thing is when I’m there for work whether it’s a week or 48 hours, you kinda get caught up in the whole vibe. It’s impossible not to. I’ll realize that I hadn’t though of anywhere else.

Saw a dude driving in Salem with a switchblade out, hitting it against his car wheel and acting all crazy while we drove through town.

Time to get the concealed carry permit. The guy was unhinged.

Not enough coffee yet I guess. I pictured the guy hanging out of the window, banging the knife on the front wheel of the car. Thought, man, that guy must have very long arms, or a very tiny car.

What a Goomba. Fucking new yawkers

It's like a guy bragging about how many women he's slept with. It's a sign of insecurity and suppression of the knowledge that the reality aint so great.

New York is not, in fact, the center of the universe.

But supermodels do, in fact, want to sleep with me.

Oregon’s drug decriminalization effort sends fewer than 1% of people to treatment

"Oregon still has among the highest addiction rates in the country. Fatal overdoses have increased almost 20% over the previous year, with over a thousand dead. Over half of addiction treatment programs in the state lack capacity to meet demand because they don’t have enough staffing and funding, according to testimony before lawmakers."

As Portland nears car theft record, victims band together to find stolen vehicles

"Portland has reported nearly 6,500 stolen vehicles this year through July, police bureau data show, a figure that includes attempted vehicle thefts. That number is on track to reach about 12,200 by year’s end, according to an analysis by The Oregonian/OregonLive – a volume that would shatter the three-decade-old record high.

To be sure, it’s not just a local phenomenon. Vehicle theft is up across the country – there was a 17% increase from 2019 to 2021. But the Portland metro area is among the leaders of this spike. The city ranks fifth in the U.S. for car thefts per 100,000 people, above San Francisco and Seattle."

So they didn't know they'd be on the hook for the entire bail amount if someone didn't behave?

That seems like a pretty big failure to do due diligence.

More importantly, they didn't look at the violent history of this person against the woman he ended up killing?
