One Flew Over? Drugstore Cowboy? Animal House?

None of these?

What's your favorite?

1) The Goonies (Astoria)
2) One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (Salem)

And for kicks...

(Astoria)

Short Circuit.

Also, the Ring (the 2002 English remake of Ringu) was decent. I don't know where it was filmed, but I heard it was in Oregon. The characters and dialogue were terrible, but the pacing, atmosphere, music, effects, etc were really cool.

Cool. I liked that movie a lot. Lee Marvin is one of my favorite actors.

Some other movies filimed in Oregon:

*Mr. Holland's Opus (Portland0
*The Hunted (Portland)
*Stand By Me (Aurora)

Nobody mentioned my wife's fav, The Postman.

Sometimes a Great Notion should be on the list.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Stand By Me are probably the two best films ever made in Oregon.

The River Wild- Filmed on the Rogue River

Free Willy

I can tell you the WORST movie ever filmed in Oregon:

Body of Evidence

Madonna. A very, very dirty Madonna. :devilwink:

Wasn't War Games with a very young Matthew Brodderick filmed in Oregon?

Bit and parts of "Elizabethtown" was filmed in Portland.

A very underrated movie, IMO.

Most of Bongwater and The Hunted are pretty good films...

The Shining is one of the greatest movies ever.

Was that filmed in Oregon?

Baker City

I remember driving thru Baker on a trip with my parents and having breakfast at the Baker Hotel when they were filiming the movie. One of the actors was drunk and giving the waitress shit about his food....he'd sent the order back to the kitchen a number of times.
