What's the big difference?

From what I can tell, most people on BBF just signed up on here... so what's going to be difference between here and BBF once the season starts? When I check one forum, why should I check the other?

How about, "Because lots of Blazer fans write really well in one of them. Especially mook."

I went where the better writers are. The lack of condescending attitude here by mods I've never heard of before, the lack of ads and the ability to swear are all bonuses.

But I'll happily pick up and move on down the road again if that's where everybody wants to go.

Good call. I didn't realize so many had picked up stakes and moved here...as recently as this morning, Ed O and mook were posting on BBF, so I had no inkling anything was different. In the afternoon, though, someone told me mook and Ed O were "gone" from BBF.

And mook and Ed O are the bellwethers. The Romans knew it. The Carthaginians knew it. And I know it.

It was time to make a move. So I did.

That's weird. That's the second time Carthaginians has come up in my life in the last 2 hours (the other time was in a "normal", spoken conversation).

huh. I like the sound of bellwether. I imagine a bellwether looks much more relaxed and in control than, say, a large rodent madly scrambling away from a submerging boat.

Any time I get mentioned with Ed and Minstrel I blush a little. It's sort of like when DaRizzle got lumped in with Talkhard and yega in another thread, only the exact opposite.

Seriously, though, somebody pointed out to me that Ed left earlier today and I figured if this board was good enough for him to condescend to, it was probably adequate for me. So Ed is the real bellwether.

Actually, you were mentioned a couple times in the nominate a new mod thread.

As far as bellwethers go, I noticed that barfo, Minstrel, Ed O, mook and maxiep were here, so I figured good enough for x then good enough for y, etc.

Let's just hope Talkhard finds his way and my life will be complete again.

This move is absolutely historic. It is like when Howard Stern made the move from terrestrial radio to satellite radio.
