What's the highest ranked free agent on this list we have a realistic chance at?

I'd like to say Deng at 9 or Pau at 11, but it's probably closer to 20 and down. Maybe Pierce at 15 if he doesn't go to the Clippers/Sonics?

unless you are assuming we are going to clear a lot of capspace all we have is the MLE which will start near 5.5 mil or so, NO chance in hell at Deng or Pau, MLE money is way down that list

That's kind of what i was alluding to with Deng, say Batum being moved to sg in the event of a Wes trade or something? Pau could possibly take less money to play for a contender, who knows. He'd probably be cool going back to the Lakers since they'd probably offer him the most if that's all he's after.

Stuckey will probably be available for something less than the MLE. He'd look nice coming off the bench if Mo leaves.

Yeah, he and Bradley are really interesting, as well as local guys. The latter is restricted though.

That's why I think Stuckey is more realistic, and while he's been an average starter, he's shown he will never be an elite starting PG/SG combo. May as well start the 6th Man portion of his career back in the NW.

How about Devin Harris on a vet minimum contract if Stuckey (and even more unlikely, Bradley/Vasquez/Patty Mills) falls through? Does he still have 24 mpg in him as a productive bench player?

IMO there will be more decent PG's available for the BAE or vet min then a solid PF/C backup that we need, so I'd focus MLE money there

Just get the best player you can with the MLE, regardless of position. I think this is Olsheys plan too judging by his exit interview.

Yeah, looking at that list, there are guys like Steve Blake or Luke Ridnour that will be BAE or vet min players. Beno Udrih as well.

Toney Douglas is another vet PG who will be available for little $$.

Humphries blatch Bradley d collision Monroe if Aldridge gets delt would fit nice .. Isn't Reggie Jackson a fa ? He'd be a really good backup 1 too.

Would you consider Shawn Marion if he's a possibility for the MLE?

I haven't been keeping up with him for a few years, isn't he ancient now? I guess if i'd consider giving Pierce the MLE he'd be another possibility if he puts up similar stats.

He's a year younger, plays tough D, able to play the 3/4 slots, and he was with the Mavericks while Stotts was there as an assistant coach.

If we deal LA a lot of those names become possible if we don't we will way down the list

I have a comment and a question: First the question....Could Wes get us a top ten pick? Now the comment....If Batum could get us a top 8 pick I might consider trading him IF the Blazers could sign Deng to take his place.

Batum could get us 8 and beyond I bet but honestly after Wiggins, Parker, Embiid, Exum, Smart and maybe Vonleh/Randle there is no one in the draft worth trading Batum for even if we get Deng.

Yep, and that's why the Kings are looking to trade the pick. Unless one of those guys drop, the pick is pretty meh.

Since 2003 was the best rookie class in recent memory, we should get one of the guys who was on the all-rookie team that year.

Have there been any articles about trade rumors regarding the Trail Blazers yet? I haven't seen anything?

#36 Kris Humphries - don't know if Portland is a big enough city for him though.
#45 Kirk Hinrich - plays on a team that forces him to take a lot of shots late in the shot clock so his shooting % isn't where it should be. Would regain his shot on a better offensive team.
#73 Aaron Brooks - Would Stunt CJ's growth but is a vet Guard where CJ is still unproven.
#98 Ivan Johnson - Would give the Blazers a big who rebounds and isn't afraid to give a HARD foul
#118 Andres Nocioni - Was a Black Hole in his time in Chicago. But is older and maybe wiser?
#125 Tony Douglas - Small ball help.
#127 Shannon Brown - The Blazers need to be able to go small and still hold up defensively. While maintaining offensive spacing.
#131 Nazr Mohammad - A good veteran role player, who has shown the willingness to be the #3 Center.
#139 Michael Pietrus - CSNNW had an article about him... What they say is gospel....
