My last 3 times actually attending a Blazer game with my wife and kids soured me so bad, I’ll never take them to another game. Obnoxious, drunk, ignorant fans in the stands surrounding us. It was ridiculous. Drunk people spilling beers on my wife and daughter.....cussing and screaming after EVERY whistle complaining the whole damn game. I squared off with a 35 year old dude because he kept touching and trying to talk to my daughter. Luckily we were right in front of the media section and they let me bring my family up there to sit.
Same thing happened to us at a Duck and Timber game.
You guys can have that shit. I’ll watch on TV.

That's what happens when you rock Lakers gear in Portland.

Drunk arrogant fans have ruined the in person experience for all sports games. It's probably the #3 reason why I don't like going to live games (obnoxious fans who take themselves/the sports too seriously being the #1 reason).

And before @THE HCP cracks at me for the #2 reason, it's because of the cost.

don't be that person John...

You gotta really like your fellow humans to want to get in a room with 20,000 of them.

And I don't. 2 maybe. Not 20. And 20,000? Hell no.

barfo

Airplane flights are experiencing the same dilemma. We just returned from DC and SW Air has suspended all alcohol.

Probably the right thing too.

The Garden ain't listening, pal.

Two reasons why it's become worse.

People have been cooped up for a year with few outlets for hostility.

For years we were told repeatedly basic decency was political correctness and wokeness, very bad things. The ruder and nastier the better. Don't disagree with someone, lock her up or hang him.

Another day another incident. Boston fan left the arena in handcuffs after throwing a water bottle at Kyrie after the game

That fan should not have done that. Neither should have Irving stomped on the face of the Celtics logo at center Court following today. Both classless acts

Hahahahahahahhhaha one is a crime
One is a cartoon logo

If you feel *any type of way* about a logo getting stomped in, you need to grow the fuck up as KD says.

it’s a logo hahahahahahahhaha

Karen culture. People think they can be huge dickwads and their won’t be repercussions

Yeah, that pisses me off. The one fan that got away with it did it against us. I looked and could find nothing on that fan being banned or anything. Dude even made a video of himself doing that and posted it online. Yet, nothing.

Will this fan be at Game 5 and be able to do the same shit?

well, if all he was throwing around was words, I'm not sure what could have been done

I agree. It's a LOGO

Boston & NY fans can be ruthless. I was in Boston and a group of us were on a Duck Boat ride around town, the driver of the boat had a BOSOX hat on and as we were heading towards the River we came to a stop light and there were two guys with Yankee hats on at the corner, the driver said something about the Yanks and the two guys sporting Yankee hats threw a half full plastic water bottle at the driver and all hell broke lose at the stop light. In a blink of an eye there were two beat cops on the scene and got control, I was actually laughing my ass off as those guys wouldn't let up with the talk, the driver got back behind the wheel and we hit the Cambridge. Those fans hated each other!

I wonder if it would have made a difference if the fan threw a teddy bear? Or hundreds of fans threw teddy bears?

wasnt it the Philadelphia Eagle fans who threw batteries at players back in the early 90’s? Fricken batteries? A dcell to the head might kill someone with enough velocity!

I understand emotions of sports but for fans to make it or turn it into something physical????

oh and to answer the q, big brown teddy bear or cute koala teddy bears? Lol.

all kinds, I took my kids a while back to a Winterhawks hockey game and fans were throwing I think Teddy Bears on the ice.

I think i headd about thst. That it was a form of endearment or something?

kind of like when roses and flowers are tossed onto the rink for figure skaters?

Sometimes bouquets are thrown at ballet dancers but not until after performance.
Trash talk, maybe, throwing things at players, spitting, hitting, no. I mean, are you six?

I wasn't comparing the two. Yes, one was a crime. The fan got arrested as he should have. We can't have fans doing that.

Yes, it's just a logo. Still, a classless act.

Maybe it was rose water
