I was really annoyed by his "next question" shit at the press conferences last week. Thought it was classless and made him look like a spoiled brat. But last night, he actually answered the guy's question. Someone had obviously told him how bad he looked. I started to wonder if I had Westbrook wrong. Maybe he's just weird. Or strange. A megatalent who doesn't know how to handle it all. Made me feel a little sad for him. I'm taking a big jump here, I know, but could he be autistic? Or on the spectrum somewhere? This is not to belittle autism as Autism Speaks is a charity I give to, but it makes sense to me that there is bound to be someone who is incredibly talented athletically and also autistic. I wonder.

The wife said the same exact thing last night during the press conference! She had never seen a RW post-game and just thought it was bizarre. She said it looks like he has autism or is at least on the spectrum. Strange that KS made the same observation. There is something going on there that is more than just quirky. His eyes are all over the place, and for a moment I actually felt bad for him. Then I remembered what a jerk he is, and the sympathy dissipated.

Glad I'm not the only one that saw that. I felt bad for him too! Maybe he's not a jerk. Maybe he's just troubled and doing his best to cope. I did some research on Westbrook's relationship with the media and found this: http://grantland.com/the-triangle/n...in-durant-oklahoma-city-thunder-sports-media/

Also- here is the article that led to the "Mr Unreliable" headline in relation to Durant: https://newsok.com/article/4744653/memphis-defense-has-knocked-kevin-durant-from-his-moorings

LOL he's just an asshole and a sore one at that because he's losing and Dame has been busting that ass.. And he didn't answer the guy's question, he said "I'm not sure" to a question that he could have easily provided a real answer to. Watch how different he is from the game 3 to game 4 post game. George isn't much better.

He has asstism; it's different.

Just stop. Y’all know nothing about this man other than his play and demeanour on the court so please don’t be armchair psychiatrists - it’s not a good look for any of you. If you don’t like how he plays or handles himself that’s fine - no point in speculating on his mental state.

And how is this troll allowed to start threads like this? It’s a little too pot/kettle for me.

I would never comment on his mental health........

I think he's a giant douche because he's compensating for his micro penis.

Factually wrong. We know about his demeanor off the court as well.

I haven't commented on his psychological problems, but it doesn't take a psychiatrist to know that he's got some serious problems.

At my work, we are required to identify deviant behavior and report it. We're just not supposed to specify treatment. Are people doing that in this thread?

The easiest explanation is usually the correct one. He's just a fucking piece of shit asshole mother fucking twat. I'm not sure what the appropriate medical term for that is.

I'm no medical doctor, but I'd say that sounds like a classic case of Trumpitosis.

Ah crap, sorry. Now this has to go to the OT board.

maybe he's just an ass hole. Just because he's an ass hole doesn't mean he is autistic, or that his behavior is an accurate description of someone who is autistic. Just because his eyes dart around or he doesn't give token answer doesn't mean he is autistic.

I work with mental illness patience for 16 years and I have seen it all with my patients and I usually on team with the doctor who diagnosed those guys. Really only way you can tell if a guy has disorder is be around them a lot to evaluate them. I was throwing out Bi-bolar due to what seen on the floor but he also could be piece of crap too.

Unless he developed something as an adult I think it is just a combination of affluenza and narcissism from reading his own press clippings. He was one of my favorite players at UCLA. Seemed nice back then. Besides, whatever he has must be communicable as PG is coming down with it as well.

I've had a lot of contact with autistic people and nothing about his manner really suggests autism to me. The way he's acting this playoffs isn't even his normal manner in press conferences--he's being sulky when things aren't going his way. I remember when the Thunder were building a 3-1 lead on the Warriors in the 2016 playoffs, Westbrook was gregarious and joking in press conferences. Being abrupt or ill at ease among people aren't, by themselves, markers of autism and that's not even a character trait of Westbrook in general. It's his attitude when he's upset, which doesn't differentiate him from a large percentage of the population.

This thread is classless.

Just because you give to a charity does not mean you're not immune from belittling people who have autism.

Is it belittling to ask if someone who doesn't seem to behave in a neurotypical way is, in fact, not neurotypical?
