German and Irish on my father's side, mostly Scottish with a little Dutch and English on Mom's side.

My German ancestors came over in the early 1900's, my Irish ancestors in the mid-twenties, and my Scottish ancestors in the early 1600's.

Race is biologically defined. Ethnicity, like gender, is a social construct.

That is true, we aren't answering it correctly. Much like gender, the technical definition of ethnicity doesn't align with how we use the word casually.
