Is blackjack still the best player odds in the house? I've never played, but am interested in learning how to best play.
Gambling odds don't change. I heard that black jack had the best payout so I'm sure they still do. My wife does well at black jack and even better amazingly on the slot machines. Every time she goes to Ilani she comes back a winner except when she takes me. Therefor, I don't go.

It's true. ABM is so tight with his money in a casino you couldn't pull a needle out of his fanny with a tractor.

However, that said, he's very shrewd.
LOL
Actually, that's me. I'm so tight that if we get up $50 I quit. My wife keeps on gambling until she wins about $100. She's twice as good as me even when I'm hot.

Over the course of my life, I'm probably up around $1,000 on casinos.

I always felt No-limit Texas Hold'em gave me the best "odds" since I get to control my own action and bet against others as opposed to a house game. Other than that, cheap sports parlays are fun to bet if you're in the sports book all day to watch the action unfold.

I do the occasional nickel, dime, quarter poker with my buddies. And on a rare trip to a dive bar I give myself $10 worth of play on the video machines. But basically, if money is gonna fly from my hands, I want something tangible to replace it. Casino gratitude isn’t tangible........

My strategy is to only bet on sports and to never bet more than I can afford. I think my biggest bet ever was about $250.

I play black jack and I win

So, here's the deal – I'm a newbie in the gambling scene, and let me tell you, I've learned a thing or two. My grandpa always said, "You can eat your bettin' money, but don't bet your eatin' money." Wise words, right? Now, when it comes to slot machines, I've found it's all about the vibe. I once hit a jackpot on this vintage machine – bells ringing, lights flashing – it was like winning the lottery!

So @speeds is your grandpa?
You can eat your bettin' money, but don't bet your eatin' money.
