What's your opinion about a Proposed Coal Processing Project in Portland

Doesn't seem bad. It would certainly help commerce and no coal burning is going on. Depends on how much revenue it would bring in really. But to have Portland be a major hub of shipping coal out of the country to the ever expanding asian countries would probably be a positive when looking at a cost-benefit analysis of it all.

Its either here, Seattle or Long Beach I guess. :MARIS61:

seems odd that it is deemed too expensive to cover the cars. Wouldn't a simple tarp do a decent amount of good?

If it is going to bring jobs and industry to Portland, it won't happen. Maybe the city of Portland can use the area for an algae pond?

Is the algae pond organic and will there be bicycle access to it?

They are pursuing this in other ports. It's a big issue in the mayoral election in Bellingham, Washington. The Mayor says, "Over my dead body."
