Thought I heard somewhere that tonight vs. the Clips is going to be Wheels' 1000th straight game calling the action on the radio. Anyone else heard that?

If so, congrats Wheels.

I wonder if Bill Schonley is getting nervous for his stint calling the game on the 14th. It's been 12 years since he retired.

The guys on Wheels @ Work confirmed that tonight is in fact Wheels 1000th straight game.

1000th game. Should it be his last?

I was listening to him the other night, he seems bored. His excitement and enthusiasm appears to be dwindling. It was interesting, during the game, he lacked energy. Coming out of the timeout, when hearing that his dodgers were winning, he pepped right up.

I forget, when you have done it as much as Wheels has done it. It's a job. Ill give him the benefit of the doubt here.

Or maybe it was just a preseason game against the Kings.

I never get a chance to listen to him anymore like I did back in the day. I'll check him out tonight!

You should have been @ the Wheels happy hour. Me thinks you then might have a bit different view. Wheels - voice of the Portland Trail Blazers - is alive and well, my friend.

Congrats on your 1,000th Blazer game and new contract!
